  3. I am currently training my chocolate cocker, He is now 7 months old, i started training him in earnest about a couple of weeks back. You must let him be a pup first and foremost, but you can start his training straight away. I am NO expert but this is how i do it, Through play you can teach him the basics ie: sitting then sit and stay, then sit and stay and then work your way into another room so you are out of site. getting him to wait for his dinner till you say its ok, playing little retreving games, calling him to you plenty, so he gets used to coming back to you.walking to heel. Obviously you must not push him to hard as he is only a pup, Just remember this was all done over a few months, starting with sit, didnt even try that for a few days, just let him find his feet in his new home first, let him see he was safe with us. I cannot stress enough all of the above i did very slowly from 10 weeks old upto 6 monthd old. It was ALWAYS a game and lots of fuss when he got it right. NO shouting, as he was only a babe, and if he didnt get it, i would just try again later. Cannot stress enough about everything being a game that he liked to play, but he was learning something relevant without realising. I Never let him off the leed, after a little time when he walked nicely to heel, I got him a longer check chord "leed", you can let him burn some energy off and practice your recall, without him ********* off lol Now i have started his training properly, so far it has been a real pleasure, he is doing brilliant, he sits and stays, does not run after dummies until told to, comes back to the whistle, stops to the whistle and is now quartering nicely. All this is off the leed now. Needless to say I am over the moon, and hes only 7 months old, It has been really enjoyable. Hope this helps bud, Look on here for NTTF posts about training, he is really really good All the best Mike
  4. a CROCKERSH*T Only joking. My niece has one, thats what we like to call him just to wind her up lol!!! he is full of beano, and would be really easy to train i should imagine, very intelligent and very busy, all the traits you want. He retrieves lovely and always wants to please. I reckon theres definatley no reason why you could'nt.
  5. Just remember your not there to IMPRESS, You joined the syndicate because its your hobby/sport and you love it. I used to worry about what others thought, if i had an off day, but after a while i realised, it dose'nt matter how i shoot on the day ie really well or not so good, when i get home i always have a smile on my face, if its a good day shooting its a bonus, if im a bit off the mark ive spent a great day out with some great mates and had a good banter. Try and always remeber " i'm hear to enjoy myself" not get selected for the england squad. Have a GREAT day Bud and ENJOY
  6. Enter The Dragon, What will you do when my guards defeat you ? Ill be to busy looking good!! Mr Hann you come right out of a comic book. Classic
  7. Archie jordan goose call, thay will even set them up before they send them to you, I am only vouching for the pink foot call, I have had loads of sucess with mine, over the moon with it, sounds fantastic. As for a duck call I use a faulks c-100 you can purchase these from the states via the net, easiest and best sounding call i have ever used, my Dad bought one 30+ years ago when he was on holiday, they still do exactly the same one as i purchased mine 9 months ago. Hope this helps
  8. Thats what you call a result, good on ya, Wednesday will be here for you know it
  9. Nice one bud, 9years working on the shoot, you deserved your day, and a cracking day it sounded
  10. Your gun is probably a 800 w - s or sw Grade 4 Miroku, from back in the day when you could get grade 1 2 3 4 5 She was originally a trap gun wearing that beavertail forend and 32" barrel's lovely engraving, have'nt seen one of them for a while, cracking guns good luck
  11. Now there's a question How much do you want to pay for such a fine looking all singing all dancing gun. I am trying to sort a price out, currently scanning guntrader and the likes to gauge a price to ask. Just cant find one like Her, ie with the lovely wood, teague chokes and forcing cones, which i can tell you cost a pretty penny. Personally I think She is better than an MK70 as She has the long chokes and puts out the most superb patterns out. Other than the Chokes, the only other non standard part is the white border on the stock by the butt plate I had this fitted, "which can easily be removed" reason for it, is the fact I love Miroku's and alot of the early models used to sport them. I am in the enviable position of not having to sell, So She wont be given away. It would be alot easier to let her go if I had a another gun I wanted in my hands. I'll Get a price sorted asap. Regards Mike
  12. Thanks for your compliments Fella's She is a real pearler. Like Bees round honey when i put her on the stand. If only I could shoot as good as she looked Regards Mike
  13. Here is My Beautiful Miroku MK60 Universal Grade V I have owned this gun from new, Just after I purchased Her, I sent her to Nigel Teague, where she had His long chokes fitted and forcing cones lengthened. She is a 30" 12 gauge, Right handed. She comes with skeet , 1/4 , 1/2 , 3/4 , full, flush fitting chokes and 2 X 3/8 and 1 X 5/8 extended chokes all teague all with gun serial number on them. I am on the hunt for a Browning 325 / 425 Grade V Old style Engraving Must be a 32" So am looking to possibly sell but ideally have a deal on the above Browning. Sorry about the picture quality, they were taken with my phone. Ok Fella's I have made a decision. As i am not AT ALL bothered about selling Her, because I would rather find Her replacement first. After receiveing a good few e-mails requesting a price, I have decided I will Let Her go for £1900 No Offers. Yes I know you can purchase a new one for this. But it is very unlikely you will find one with this wood or the £500 worth of extra's If no one wants Her, I cant say I would be to disappointed
