Dorset Police My SGC was on the doormat today I put the application in 2 weeks later had my inspection and then 9 days later the certificate is here I know its a killer waiting but its hell of a buzz when its here and that shotgun youve allways wanted is waiting for you.

I dont know what Alberta is like but i know Penticton in B.C is very slow at the moment. My brother in Law works for an American company building RV's they had the factory shut down holiday in August, he still hasn't gone back to work and he's one of the main cabinet makers and fitters. I spoke to him last week and he said life was getting very hard and all and sundry are starting to struggle. Dont mean to be a black cloud with your move etc just wanted to pass the information on that i know. But as we all know it may be bleak at the moment but the recovery will come and sooner would be better!!! As i said before all the best, enjoy and you are a lucky bloke to be going to a better and much slower way of life

Maybe the Arab States have there legal system spot on! A punishment that fits the crime is in order. As a dad to be in a few days or so the whole story is sickening, how and why do some people hurt and abuse there own flesh and blood! A poor defensless child has been taken (to hopefully a better place) by some stupid moronic muppet that needs to experience the pain that he inflicted! Is it me or does this world seem to be getting worse? Capital punishment all the way, bring back a new charactor like Albert Pierpoint!!!

Dorset Police are spot on!!! It took 2 weeks from posting the forms to having my inspection wednesday just gone. Just awaiting the certificate through the post. I can belive Somerset & Avon Police though

I was up at Southern Counties yesterday, the weather was sunny and dry and the shooting was spot on. It couldnt have been in a better spot for what we wanted.

Does anyone have any feedback on this shooting ground? I fancy possibly going, is it worth the drive? Thanks for your time

Evening and Hello! Thanks to my boss and his new love of shooting im now hooked! This website is now a positive favourite in the office. I had another blast at the clay pigeons this afternoon and i cant believe what ive been missing for the last few years! Is there many on here from Dorset or are we just very behind down here? I hope to be able to draw on your vast knowledge sometime Many thanks for introducing me to such a great sport!!!

A question for the Yeovil Members, I shoot at Southern Counties with a mate both total novices but we do hit them when the wind is with us! We fancy a change is there anywhere good a bit to the north of us up in Cider country?

Im from Dorchester, Just applied for my shotgun licence after shooting with my boss for far to long and using his toys! Practicing with clays at the moment up at Southern Counties Shooting Ground, but hope to expand my horizons when i actually start to hit the blinking things! While im here does anyone have any proven ways of overcoming incorrect eye dominance? Ive tried shooting from the left shoulder and i cant get to grips with it so the only way i can hit anything is by shutting my left eye. Any advice would be really appreciated
