  1. Regarding the "Taking non licence holders shooting with you" ...... I had my visit from the FEO on wed and the policy he said that northumbria police had was "you had to be shooting with the landowner present, on the landowners land and using the landowners gun" and that was the only way a non SGC holder could shoot a shotgun (apart from clay grounds).

(sorry my reply is a little late but thought this might keep people on the right side of the law in the Northumbria Police region.)

  2. Gonna dig this one up.

Its been a month to the day since I have given up. I do feel better for it.

I have taken up Mountain Bike Riding to counteract the food I am eating and I am really enjoying it.

I can smell a lot better. The food I eat tastes so much better, and according to my friends and family I no longer smell like an ashtray :o

Well done on your first month. :o

It's not easy but i've been off them nearly 3 years now and I'm pleased I did quit ........ just got to get the weight off now that I put on from quitting. :hmm:

  3. At least you've been told how long the wait is. I was dashing home every day waiting for mine, only to be disappointed when the only thing in the post was junk mail and bills.

If it turns up a bit early it will be a bonus for you.

    Rhiannon

Yeah, your right ...... I'll just have to be patient. :hmm:

  4. After waiting nearly 6 weeks since posting my SGC application, I've just had my visit from the FEO. It took him around 20/30 mins and he said there were no problems with my home security or cabinet (he said both were excellent :o ) so he see's no problem for me getting my SGC, but they have a bit of a backlog so it could take around 4 weeks before I see the SGC through the door :hmm: .

Here's to being patient again sAng_scream.gif.

  5. Good luck for your test bobby dazzler, I took my class1 around 20 years ago and can still remember the nerves I had but try to overcome your nerves. Remember, if it goes wrong (which it won't) life will not change and you can always go back in for it.

  6. I am sorry dude but ya aint getting anything sharp near my John Thomas  It was bad enough getting fixed after the birth of my son :good:

 WHAT !!!! You gave birth to your son through your John Thomas. :ermm:

    :hmm::lol::lol:

  7. Whoever gets it you can be sure of some fantastic racing.
Yes, it should be an excellent season. :P

Yes, its nice to have the two wheeled terrorists back on track, WSB will keep us going for the first month and then MotoGP will join in as well and we'll have 8 months of fun.

    YIPPEE

    YIPPEE, indeed. :good:

Gutted all these guys are doing WSB now, they were all worth lots of money when they raced over here. Plus i believe Brands has lost the WSB, so cant even do that!
Brands will be a big loss to WSB, it was always one of the biggest races of the year. :P
  8. I hope so, because I fear this season is the last chance saloon for Nori.

I have been a fan of him since way back in the days when he rode the gorgeous R-7 Yamaha's :good:

With the WSB rules so blatently fixed in favour of the Ducati's, if he doesn't win it this year he wants his rittle yerrow ash kicking

Yeah, I think your right about Nori and this is his best chance. He has done well in 1st qualifying along with the brits but Smrz in 1st is a bit of a surprise.

  9. I would also like to thank Paul for an excellent transaction, I have just got an ST5 from him and it's excellent and at a very good price and it was delivered when he said it would be. :good:

    Thanks Paul.

  10. After reading through everything I realise that only I can make the decision.

This is very true, you need to know in your own mind that you WANT to stop smoking. I had tried on a few occasions (in my 30 odd years of smoking) to stop but always went back to them, but this time I knew that I didn't want to smoke another tab in my life so nearly 3 years ago went cold turkey.

    Think about

Your health (To quit smoking is the best thing you could ever do for your future health)

Your families health and feelings (Think about passive smoking and how they feel about you smoking)

Your wallet (At todays prices on 20 a day you are spending around £35 a week, £1800 a year.... and that's a lot of shooting gear or anything else)

All the reasons above helped me to quit but you might have reasons of your own that would help. It's not easy at first but once you do it you will realise it was the best decision you made.

  11. what a legend a true countryman and a proper gentleman rest in peace jack
    Bit late Willy.

The guy (Clive Hornby) died at the beginning of July last year. He was an accounts clerk and a drummer in a band before becoming an actor, and joined Emmerdale (Farm) in 1980!! Not sure that makes him a 'true countryman'?

I bet you think Taggart was a real Jock?? :hmm:

I think Willy has put this on because it was Jack's funeral on Emmerdale tonight (not that i watch it like :good::hmm: ).
