Gunsock... ...or a shroud (old net suit trousers cut to fit) Easily removed for drying and cleaning your gun, doesn't leave a sticky mess on your stock if you leave it on too long and most importantly doesn't look tatty after a couple of trips out.

I use wool mop snap caps to stop any oil residue running down the barrels.
