Hi Everyone,
I am looking for someone in the tyne and wear/Northumbria area to possibly give me advice on both rifle shooting and rough shooting.
I have permissions and have had a licence for a long time but am just really getting into the hobby now. I am looking to get into clay shooting, rough shooting more and hopefully get out with the rifle.
Look forward to hearing from anyone

So the concensus for both clay and game is a Silver Pigeon? Any particular model?
-
Hmmm so i have three choices there! Come on keep arguing! Am learning!
I will have a few walk up shoots but getting more and more into the clays. I imagine my rough shoots will be for my rifle mostly and maybe the odd outing for the pigeons.
I was thinking around the 700 - 900 mark

Hi there
I am based in newcastle and all of my shooting is in the lakes where my families farms are. I am looking for any ground where anyone would be happy for me to have a walk from time to time either with the shotgun or .22.
I am a surveyor and anything i could offer back on that front is on offer or any return days out i can arrange. I would be willing to help any small shoots beating or anything like that, aslong as its an afternoon out the house i am more than happy.
I look forward to any ideas

Hi guys
Ok, i hope this doesnt sounds like a stupid posting, but here goes!
I currently have a lanber, brilliant gun........... but i am in a position where i fancy a change!
I was going to go for Bettisoni or a new lanber but have decided to wait a while, put the money away and try and get myself a Berretta (second hand). Not being a member of the Berretta cult before, i am a bit puzzled by the different models.
I am looking for a gun that i can use for both Clays and game. Am in a small walk up shoot but want a gun i can use week in at small clay shoots.
I would really appreciate any guidance on this. Am looking for something at a sensible price (if there is such a thing!)
thanks

Quick question guys, if land has a couple of people registered to it with FAC’s. Can the licencing guys knock you back for an application to shoot there?
-
Thats excellent advice guys, i will work on 5 permissions then keep adding more. Another good thing is that i live an hour away from where my permissions are........sometimes even further. I am from cumbria but work and live in newcastle. Its only an hours drive so i do this every week, and i have a couple of permissions in the north east. Suppose this would really make them work for their money!
Good plan guys!
Another question, would you advise printing out a template letter for people to sign for permission? Then it keeps everything neat, while keeping the work someone has to do for me to sign to a minimum?
Thanks a lot guys, have never really been on here much but the advice is excellent.........and response on the laureta?
Any other shooters in the north east here?

I hear differing responses on this, my friend applied and immediately got an open certificate, whereas my cousin who has several rifles upto 243 etc says it will take 5 years?!
Well, i can only see i suppose!
Thanks very much for your advice, much appreciated

Hi there
am in the process of applying for a firearms certificate. I have approximately 10 farms who will give me written permission however i am wondering if, on your licence, you can apply to roam. Ie To shoot where permission is granted and it is safe to do so? Are there any restrictions / thoughts on this?! Cheers
Have also just purchased a laurona 12g over and under non ejector 3" mag. Will be a few years old but just wonder if anyone had any thoughts on it? Or advice as to if it will be a sound purchase! Only cost £100.
Cheers

Hi everyone
am looking for an ammunition safe to keep live rounds in obv. Just wondering if anyone is either looking to sell or possibly can direct me to a site which has compliant safes at a reasonable price!
THanks
