Well after 20.........yes 20 weeks of waiting. 13 weeks after submitting forms i got my interview, and 7 weeks later got the ticket through the post! Can anyone beat that wait! Northumbria Force beat your heart out!
Off to pick my CZ Varmint .22 up this afternoon! Also got given a slot for a .243 which i am in no rush to acquire unless the right thing comes up......or possibly swop it for a 22.250.
Anyhoo, have asked some question on here prior to getting it so thanks for peoples help.
Cheers

Possibly a 20g or a 12g with lighter loads would be best? Your probably looking at a 25 yard range with a 410 depending how good a shot you are!
-
I asked for a 22lr and a 243, initially for deer and foxes. They asked for specific deer permissions too which i couldnt provide. So on my interview i just said, drop the deer. Keep the fox and vermin control......absolutely fine...no questions asked.
Seems as though there is no cohesion and unity with regards to whats acceptable and whats not.

Hi Mate
have a o/u no ejector 12g, left handed. Good little gun, you can have that for 110 + RFD?

Noted the comments guys. Appreciate them fully
The bloddy mod costs about the same as the gun thats the only prob!

Hi there
looking at .243 rifles. Been looking at a .243 at a local shop but its a stutzen. I like the rifle. But just cant decide myself if i want a rifle which will take a mod.
Will be used mostly for foxes but will be my entry to stalking also.
What would your thoughts be, its a pretty gun (i know its a tool at the end of the day) but i do like to look after my guns and i like the style of the stetzen.
Suppose the top and bottom of the question is.... would you deem it necessary to have a .243 for foxes and deer to have (or be capable) of taking a sound mod. If not, any reports on this rifle? Also an idea on scopes would be appreciated!
Cheers

Am looking for a minimum four/five gun firearms cabinet which could fit scoped rifles. Integral locking compartment.
Would swop for O/u shotgun.
-
I have a left handed shotgun coming up for sale. Cheap and cheerful. I will add photographs later on today. The barrells are immaculate, woods seen a bit of use but ok. Would be a great rough gun. Sling swivels attached.
Am being sold this along with another gun from someone who has inherited them, basically to keep in with the family for the shooting! Will sell for what i paid for it o.n.o. £100 or swop for a Firearms certificate compliant cabinet?
Make....not 100% sure....but its stamped made in USSR so am guessing it may be a Baikal.
Any offers let me know. Based in the north east (Newcastle).

i have been looking at a CZ varmint, the american is the heavy barrel isnt it?

Will drop her a note this morning and find out. There is another issue, that if the guns are held on the ex's licence, but have been kept by her father......then he has had them for an extended period of time. Which therefore puts him in the scheiser aswell for not informing the fire arms dept.
A tricky little situation. But as you say, am just letting my mind run with scenarios. A winner is the father has them on his ticket. A couple of purdys wouldnt be bad for £50! In my dreams eh.

Thanks guys. Sorry, i wasnt being arsey in my response Humperdingle, i am definitely not willing to take them off her hands with no questions!
I just want to be able to provide her with the advice whatever the situation is.

I noted a while back a gentleman added a link to three great targets, one of a rabbit, one a crow......cant remeber the third. And for the life of me i cannot find the posting!
Does anyone else have any websites where i can download some targets?
Many thanks
