  1. Wow cant believe this thread is still going, i finished up buying a terrano 2 2.7 td for 1100 quid, dave i agree i would have liked a disco but just couldnt get what i wanted with in a reasonable distance from my home, and the nissan has so far been brill. Bloody economical too. !!
  2. Hate to sound ignorant but whats this used for ?
  3. Nice one john, tricky business the culling of corvids. Got myself an owl decoy today so be giving them a bash this weekend.
  4. Hey dave g did'nt forget just tight for time, what i was looking for was a scope and range finder all in one, like the thread says it will be for a 223 which i'll be using for fox control, the thing is i'm not much kop at judging distance so was just looking at maybe buying an all in one. To be honest i've a long way to go as yet, still a bit of a novice really and probably moving to fast.
  5. When you clench your fist and strike a prone man on the floor 3 times with three of your colleagues offering assistance the facts speak for themselves, this can only be classed as brutality and therefore the offending so called officer should be hauled in as any common thug would be. Where are the police trained to restarain a man by using there clenched fist at four on to one, also using a tazer.
  6. Not convinced 2 x jolts from a tazer and no dead arm, over zealous thugs in uniform, in the old days people didnt have camera phones, the police have to be policed, they've been getting away with this sort of thing for far to long, this kind of brutality has to stop, just because they wear a uniform doesnt put them above the law.
  7. Yet a further incident of police brutality, hooligans in uniforms, x 3 punches to the head
  8. Wondered if anyone uses them and is it worth lasing out on a scope to do the job. If so whats the popular choice, it would hopefully be fitted to a 223 for fox. Cheers.
  9. Varmint or american is the weight difference that noticeable.
  10. Most seem to have both but do you really use them and is it economical to have both, if you prefer one then does'nt the other sit gathering dust in the cabinet. Or are there times when one suits a given situation if so what would be best uses for both. We could run a book here as a popularity test.
  11. Seems a lot of discussion on this subject, i spoke to basc before i applied for my fac and am waiting for a response, no rushing them for sure. The advice i got was distance was pretty similar with both rifles except the 17 has a flatter line. I just wanted something for rabbits at a decent distance because frankly i thought the air rifle route was rubbish, you cant always get within 40 yds. So im very much undecided what to get i applied for both so wait and see.

It's enormously satisfying to have tits all over the nuts that you hung out. love it .
  13. Not nearly as proliffick as this guy but i've had four this week on my permission, there's a good size wood with plenty of them in and they make good sport. I've been using them as bait for foxes did'nt know you could eat them. Not sure i want to either.
  14. If you were to sell what would your price be,
  15. First purchase can be a nightmare, you'll probably change it before long anyway so way things up carefully.
  16. Man slow down, your so busy your giving me stress.
  17. Most popular has to be Landrovers probably the discovery but more often than not in Diesel due to the running costs, pound a litre !!.
  18. Finished work on Weds , off now for the rest of the month, time to chill , drink and lots of shooting :o
  19. Tricky this, been out today for a walk in the woods looking for a few pigeons meself and to be honest it was difficult, the pigeons sat high up in the canopy and were flushed a bit to easy, actually shot none but came away with a few squizzers, so not a totally wasted day.
  20. Order here ! ORDER HERE, stand back i say or i'll shoot you all like dogs. Titanic.
  21. Hi Steve, When i started shooting i bought a Miroku mk70 30" sporter right handed, from Bates at Doveridge, i used it a couple of times on my permission and to be honest it knocked me black and blue and i went straight out and bought a b80 for pigeon etc and my Miroku sits in the cabinet unused cause to be totally honest i hav'nt been clay shooting at all, if your interested i'd take 650 for it, just drop me a pm, i'm in no rush to sell and i already know i can get this when i trade in so please no offers. Cheers andy.
  22. Hey, I think its good you feel some remorse it shows that your human, it can be difficult to justify but like you say we provide a service as pest controllers and there will allways be a ****ty side to any good job. The other side is wild life has to be managed and sometimes the rule of the gun has to prevail. Caliber wise for a rifle i'm informed 223 is required in Staffordshire but this can be differant across the country, some will allow 17hmr, but i would say stick with what your feo tells you this way no comeback. With a shotgun it will allways be difficult because of range, i hav'nt managed to shoot a fox yet i did'nt fancy it with a shotty, my fac is in now so hopefully it will soon come through  , where i shoot there's been no control so the fox rome freely during the day so bit of a shock coming. Anyway happy hunting
  23. Looking to purchase a CZ American 452 ( 17hmr ) in the next month or so, so started to take a look at prices ( new ) i'm looking at a 16" barrel, wood stock standard gun readyy to take a moderator. After looking on guntrader i thought there was a pretty big price variation so was wondering if anybody was willing to recommend some where, not to worried about travelling if the price is right. Cheers Andy.
