  4. incorrect ,In order to protect birds intended for shooting, a single terrier may be used underground to flush foxes to be shot source here http://www.basc.org.uk/en/codes-of-practice/use-of-a-dog-below-ground-in-england-and-wales.cfm

  7. As above said for the walls and as long as air can get to the roof timbers it will be fine if its not in a very exposed area you may get away with not rendering it , did that myself with a stable I built and its still bone dry 5 years later

  11. i have had 3 hilux over the years and 2 navaras ,yes the hilux are great and well built so if you are a serious off roader (keeper or similar) its deffo the truck to go for however my 57 plate navara is the dogs dangly bits for everyday use with the odd foray into the mud and dirt when we are shooting , it drives like a luxury 4x4 car with the pulling power to match and will cruise at 100mph quietly if you need it to , yes mine did have a clutch at about 25,000 miles but i put that down to regularly towing my big Ifor Williams fully loaded and towing it extremely well i might add for something that isnt a landy which we all know is the best tow vehicle that was ever made , my truck other than the clutch issue has been extremely reliable, incidentaly i had a clutch issue with one of my hilux after about 10,000 miles so you cant go by that ........... so .......its horses for courses in my opinion , look at what you need it for most everybody has some story or another of a landy this or a mitsi that i would just buy the best you can afford for what you need it for oh the best ....................i would have a new 3.0 hilux lol but couldnt afford one
  12. I have an Ifor williams canopy that will go on your navara ,let me know if your interested
  13. yes a big lesson for everybody here on PW which is why i decided it would be a good idea for me to post in this thread so maybe others wont make the same mistake as me incidentaly i would have walked away scot free if i had had a duty solicitor anyway because the witness statements said that they would not recognise me again , i didnt find that out until after i accepted the caution its very easy for people to say i should never have accepted it but when you have never in your life been in any kind of trouble and arent street wise to the police tactics of making you talk it seemed like an easy way of getting to go home after being in the cells for hours
  14. Hi all , the person Noel is talking about is me firstly yes I was deeply stupid to have accepted a caution I was led to believe it was just a formality so after 4 hours in the cells and being interviewed, like a fool i accepted obviously i deeply regret it , the incident in question was after a road traffic accident involving a rear end shunt with me to blame, the man opened my truck door and began to get very abusive upsetting my daughter , i then got out of the truck very quickly and pushed him away from the door whilst holding his fleece around the neck area causing him no pain or any harm other than making him look a bit week. I defy any man on this forum not to have done the same when his 9 year old daughter is terrified and crying , all i did was diffuse the situation not make it worse the caution i accepted was for common assault not what i was originally arrested for which was abh because he claimed that i had him by the throat . I had left messages at Basc for somebody to get back to me but nobody has , i will call the number somebody very kindly posted here @The running man its not speculation at all the FAO told me himself that after whitehaven they are no longer going to take any chances , any body with a shotgun cert or firearms will have to be squeaky clean , his words not mine , he said he would not want it on his conscience if i went out and did something after he had approved my licence now .....the fact that i was arrested and cautioned should have flagged up straight away which it didnt so they failed once again a friend of mine has spoken to a close friend of his who is a FAO has told him that as it was just a caution i should be ok and will very likely be able to maintain my cert. if it goes to appeal
