  1. Cat excellent report as usual I do however think that you are being a little harsh about the shoot I think it was a little more than a flat piece of ground with a tower, the targets were testing and challenged the best of us George just simply is in a class of his own. The prizes were fantastic for such a low entry I know that Trevor won for veterans a hunting trip which I am sure he will pass to me given some persuasion lol. I do think that the rifle prizes were slightly awkward and odd however fair play to get some reward that will be more than the entry fee. We certainly will be returning to shoot there as it is really easy to get to and the hotel de golf is literally two minutes away and extremely reasonable. It has been a hard struggle for Trevor and I to pull ourselves away from the rifle shooting however juggling both is working just fine. we are looking forward to the forth coming shoots so see you fellow pigeon watchers soon.
  2. Two more last night went after foxes but these two little blighters just had to have it! 11,729
  3. If someone mentioned to me that I would actually like pigeon shooting as much as clay shooting then I would have told them that I would put money on it that I wouldn't BUT.... Armed with a book just incase I died of bordem, we went out with all the kit (OMG how much stuff do you need) and set up the hide put out the funny little decoys and sat and waited which was all of a few minutes and one flew past, up I got and took a shot only to be told that if I waited it would have come closer and I wouldn't probably not have missed at 70 yards. After having some coaching off the better half and being told to be patient again and again (which I don't do) a few minutes later another came and another and another...... A couple of hours later which seemed like a few minutes we were still shooting and they were still coming and the total bag finished at over 150. I was sceptical at the start and laughed if I am honest at seeing all these hides and people in camouflage but when you are really doing it it is great. Now what should I do when it comes to the weekend go clay shooting on sunday or go and shoot some pigeons? No question really, pigeons I think bring it on. Cheryl
  4. You would have had a job it was only 120 birds
  5. I'm shooting it on Sunday 13.30 as I am working friday and practicing putting the fun back in to shooting on Saturday. Have fun and let us know what it is like. Cheryl
  6. Thank godness it takes no installing cause I am a bit of a disater when it comes to DIY as he will find out when he gets home and finds that I have spilt all green stain on the gravel in the garden and made even more of a mess with the table, chairs and decking whoops that'll teach him to go away . I went to B&Q in the end and got a storage box with a couple of draws and tonight it will be all thrown in and tidy. I have however been told that you shouldn't mess with a mans fishing kit and fly tying kit but hey at least I can show I can be tidy As for CAT redeeming himself he nearly did that last week or did he?. He beat me on one layout at the FITASC to win £5.00 which he was duly paid in the smallest change possible Cheryl
  7. Cat May have a problem going to this as I think that Trev and I will be going to Tanya's 30th and staying over not sure yet as he will have to make arrangements with the shop etc so wont know till he gets back. As for me showing you what to do well after your performance at the weekend I think you will be showing us all how it is to be done. Well shot. Have you spent your £5.00 in change yet that I had to pay you? If I can't make it it will be a shame cause they are always great shoots there. Cheryl
  8. Help. Anyone know where I can purchase a Cabinet for all his fly tying stuff? At the moment it is everywhere and I have had a quick look on the internet but cant really see anything big enough. Any ideas greatly received. Thanks Cheryl

  13. They are the best that you can get and I strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone. c
  14. Hey up MC, I'm not making excuses for Cat he can do that himself he has been reading the GD book of excuses just for a laugh, I was just pointing out the obvious. As for the rifle shooting at the fair ground yes Cat wasn't very good but his advanced driving boaded him well on the dodgem cars and he can't be good at everything now can he. Wicked weekend.
  15. Hey play nicely boy's! Cat has just got a shiney new gun and this will take some getting used to. As for the missing card well old news and getting really boring now. Why don't you find some more interesting news to gossip about over your tea and biscuits. Anyway on the international scene CAT shot a wicked 88 ex 100 at the Belguim Compak this weekend (same as me). So watch this space he is back and getting better all the time. Congrats to Jamie Brightman for being overall high gun on 190 ex 200 and for our ole mate Martin for coming 2nd. I'm not going to say any more cause it will spoil the report that Cat will be doing later other than we had a fabulous time and can't wait to go there next year. Just one thing can some one answer this: If someone shoots two compaks over 6 months and they score 83 and 89 why have they been put in AAA with average of 89? I thought that you had to shoot a minimum of three hundred targets to get a classification at that discipline. I may be wrong. As for me the only change is that I have gone up to AAA for sporting so really happy. cheryl
  16. I stopped last friday and seemed to be going well but god I would love one right now!
  17. ERRRRR let me think Yes I am sure I did put more than 100 cartridges in my bag and yes I am sure that Sweep did too, can't speak for the other guy though that had 50 stolen as we weren't shooting with him.
  18. Classic would have loved to have seen that one!
  19. I have to say that I didn't shoot with Cat this weekend and even if I did I know that he would never do such a thing so be nice Oh and am I being thick (probably) but would you like to speak english and translate the sentence that starts with "seriously" as I have no idea what it means. I have also heard that someone I know has had their HD spex stolen whilst on a shoot a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea why someone would steal cartridges perhaps if we catch them we can ask them. 99% of shooters would give them some if they only asked.
