Did anybody else live in a house with metal window frames? Single glazed, obviously.
I remember the frost on the inside in the mornings.

Wooden frames the same, lovely cold linoleum flooring to hold the guzunder?

Any move like this should be based solely on the wishes of the inhabitants, not any woke or political agenda

The creeps at the back door can be the most dangerous due to total anonymity, other than dishing out goodies of course?

There was talk yesterday about Spain wanting to claim back Gibraltar and the Argentinians are after the Falklands again !

Of course they are, looking at the laughable state we are in, it's the ideal time?

Possibly they have had lobbyists behind the scenes working towards that?

Patrick Harvie, head green person gets more than £106.000 per year and he has been a MSP for twenty years. cant see him jacking that in for principles

Difficult to find a principle in any of the trough troublers?

I wonder what this climb down will mean for the greens,  staying in the trough, or standing up for their principles and resign..😏

Possibly not enough spine to achieve either?

  6. Mm, milk from a churn via a pint measure?

Bread from the co op horse drawn carts based at the co op abattoir. Free manure from the street.

Bacon and sausage from an old van, often green at the time after the flies had feasted.

Lovely jubbly as no politico gassing off on the all day news.

    Hundreds of Lapwings.

Swimming in the local gravel pit.

Its easy for these scumbag politicians to sell their soul to the devil knowing that in 4 years time they'll be away and not have to face the consequences.

The single best thing we could do for politics in the UK is to make ministers accountable and responsible for the results of their policies for the rest of their life time. It would certainly open their eyes a bit being accountable for whatever ******** they sign the country up to.

You want to sign up to some ridiculously impossible climate targets to show how in tune you are with the agenda? Then see it through to the end and face the consequences of your failure.

The system is designed so that responsibility is impossible to obtain?

It's taken 60 or so years to achieve, total freedom to act with impunity whilst ensuring their trough fills endlessly?

Not one of them will ever vote to reform the gravy train, endless connections to the trough for their offspring too.

so long as we are dumb enough putting up with a system geared to make sure we have no more power than a pathetic vote they will continue free from fear of punishment or removal

    And your solution?

Oh how the mighty have fallen , Wonder how all the independent voters feel now that their  money donated to the party was actually spent on

Just politics, I expect they knew it would be bad right from the go?

we all larrf at sturgeon and stuff going on north of the border...............but by christ westminister is just as bad.....perverts ...degenerates ...liars....theives...embezzerlers..and the list goes on

it is really appalling.........these are the people WE HAVE ELECTED TO LOOK AFTER US AND RUN OUR COUNTRY...totally appalling............and we have no redress

Sadly, we can only elect from the dross that is put before us?

Probably 70 years of scheming  has enabled them to put forward any carp they choose knowing full well there is no redress or accountability?

Job done, in or out their trough is constantly topped up?

    So no ideas then?

That's the nail on the head. We are all too quick to blame anyone and everything rather than ourselves whilst at the same time we are incapable of taking the steps needed to tackle the fundamental issues. Meanwhile Russia stokes the flames of discontent.

Plenty of ideas around, the problem lies with the greedy, ineffectual politicos of all useless parties that abound here.

Personally not sure where they are trying to push us but know full well they don't have our welfare and wellbeing in mind ever, just some hidden agenda that benefits them?

lets think about this rich foreign owned firms robbing the uk blind and running these firms into the ground and not paying any tax just taking the money and doing a runner.you have got to love it that the usless clowns that run this country just sit back and let this happen becauce the good old tax payers will pick up the bill so it does not matter.

More serious than sitting back maybe?

    A scheme of sponsorship?

Why do you think 'these people' are any different from anyone else? Why do some see them as different?

50% of asylum migrants are in work compared to 70% of UK born nationals. 21% of asylum migrants will be self employed compared to just 14% of UK born. Its clear the UK either needs more workers paying tax or less benefits being paid (particularly pensions) and services cut (particularly NHS). Maybe a solution would be to look at policies of integration rather than alienation.

you may find this report helpful to better understand the situation.

That's a bit too refined for me oowee.

What employment are the 50% carrying out, repairs to rubber boats? How can they be here and working too?

My comments are not directed at the genuine ones but we seem to have become responsible for the financial wellbeing of half of the world as well as our idle?

How is this sustainable and how is it the fault of our general population?

Tents are good enough for them on beaches in France - so let them live in slightly nicer tents on our beaches and nuts to what the wokies have to say about it.

But just think of the shame our politicos would feel that visitors were slighted that way?

I read something interesting today about migration to the US across the border from Mexico. The article was saying that rather than crack down on the crossings, the government would be more successful concentrating on the employers exploiting the illegal employment of migrants. Without employment then the problem would be mostly solved. There was no willingness to do this as the migrants were a lucrative source of labour.

Highly unlikely as a high majority of home grown specimens won't work whilst the money keeps flowing to keep them safe at home?

If we don't do anything we accept what we get. I'm happy just trying. You will never prevent the scrtote type but there's a couple that walks their dogs that may think twice. Probably more so after they hear a rifle shot. 👍

We'll have to wait and see.

And therein lies the problem maybe?

Giving them brown kecks may result in a visit from an ARV?
