  1. its just a thought, but, if you are missing a few you may be lifting you head from off the stock as you pull the trigger, almost seeing if you hit it as you pull the trigger, if so you will almost certainly be stopping the gun swing resulting in missing behind
  2. Hi Tom,im only down the road from you in upton, i shoot on a farm in spetisbury but its kept for the guys who do the beating their and controlled by the keeper, hopefully got some more land coming next year near you if my master plan comes good, do a fair bit of lamping and also shoot in oakhampton in a woodcock syndicate, give me a shout if you need a hand, cheers nige
  3. best post on here for a while, smiling away as ive read all the comments, i do this constantly, watching for pigeons, looking along hedge lines spotting all sorts of things whilst driving but no one in the car ever seems to see anything
  4. off out at 6 in the morning with my son and mate on 7 rape stubble fields, been watching them all week, about a 1000 today on 3 of the fielda. hoping for a good day, cloudy but no wind so fingers crossed, hope to get a picture on here with a few woodies tomorrow, straight shooting all

  9. glad you had a good night, let us know if you come down again, ill get a leave pass signed and pop out for a half or we will be lamping again, lots of cubs to get round and a rabbit explosion too, cheers nige :-)
  10. hi salop sniper cant help with the lamping, the guy i shoot with has justsold his rifle and is waiting for a new one in 3 weeks. if you in poole town then theres a good fish restaurant called the guild hall. best curry house is the tandoori nights or all you can eat ****** called wok n spice. if you like real ale then its the poole arms or the angel. good luck and enjoy your night cheers nige
  11. great offer les and i was off today but have been off air for a while. im off thursday and the next 3 wednesdays if your stuck again, cheers. nige
  12. i use the leather chameau wellies, pricey but they wont make your feet sweat like the neoprene ones do but be careful if you ground is flintey cos they are a very soft boot.
  13. had a good day today aswell, week old rape stubble field being used every day. used eric priors pattern that is in this months sporting gun and it worked a treat. 57 woodies and a crow. gave a first outing to one of chris greens new bouncers which moved in the wind well. back next week if its no ploughed or the wheat stubble if we get some good weather down here
  14. i also use 1/4 and 1/2 but i use the 1/4 in the top barrell because its easier to re-load the top one if you are in a hurry and only fired the one shot, does anyone else do this?
