  1. Stopped carp fishing hardcore about 6 years ago, after doing 3-4 nights a week trying to catch toadless the leather, which lived in the place I learned how to fish. Like a couple of you I have took to the rivers and never looked back. As much as I love carp fishing it is definitely more predictable than fishing a river after heavy rain. With a river you just don't know whats round the next corner, and that for me is what its all about. I spent my youth down my local pits, cutting my own swims, sailing to islands, climbing trees, then the club took over and out came the bark paths and sleeper swims. I used to love popping my head over some reeds and spotting a fish in a place that I considered unchartered. Such places are hard to come by now so for me, the magic of carping has gone. And not to mention the companies matting there fair share of instant anglers with gimmicks as bait. LONG LIVE THE CLOSED SEASON!!
  2. Big thank you to bakerboy again for supplying some crazy sport, thoroughly enjoyed myself, but above all enjoyed watching the excitment on tims face when he grabbed his first bunny. Its good to see the youth of today taking on board our ancient practice. Im sure half his class will be gagging to get stuck in too to be continued.................................
  3. not the greatest photo traps.zip
  4. I have 5 antique gin traps for sale, they vary between 3" and six inch jaws, 4 out of 5 of them have blacksmiths marks on them. I have been told that the biggest one might of been a wolf trap but im not sure. They would look great on the wall of a hunters cabin or a pub. They all have there original swivels and chains with them. Probabaly looking at around £120-£150 price range or nearest respectable offer Any offers please pm me cheers
  5. good pics mate, them pats are good marking dogs.
  6. Ive been using the mark3 for 2 seasons now and i must say its worth its weight in gold. In my opinion you should use locators for the pure reason of ferret welfare, plus you get that bonus rabbit when you get a lay up :good:

  16. Went out with stealth stalker and pelty today,to an untouched horse paddock. SS had an idea that we could use the long net to run down the side of a very large warren,on a strip ajacent to the footpath. We also used the gate nets to section of the warren that had about 150 holes. The result.....10 bunnies and a couple of pints on a blinding sunday!!!
