    BREXIT

Henry, we didn,t Leave w week before June 2016, we were still running up to the Referendum. As I recall, the then Chancellor, George Osborne, backed by the rest of the Remain crowd, said that we would drop to parity with the Euro and the dollar, within a month of voting Leave...and that there would be mass migration, and mass unemployment as well. That did NOT happen. he pound dropped against both currencies, but to nothing like that forecast! The reason was simple, the financial markets do not like uncertainty, but it then remained fairly steady, until the Remain MPs in Westminster voted her Deal down...more uncertainty. One of my daughters friends is in a senior position in the Treasury Dept of one of Britains largest companies, with millions of £,s on a daily basis. The current thinking there is that within 3 years, the £ will be trading again at around the same level as it was in May 2016. Give or take a point or two. And that is based on both Brexit, or no Brexit! Are you sure? I seem to recall being on the receiving end of one of them...... Do you think that includes this site, and why?

    BREXIT

Farming in the UK is streets ahead of the rest of the EU.
  3. New shot? Or recovered shot?

    BREXIT

I,ve heard there are a lot of them in Islington..... A question for Raja and any other Remainers on here....what are you going to do after November 1st ? Help take this country forwards to a new future, or continue to drag us back into the Brussels cesspit?

    BREXIT

And Powell has been seen since to be right about so may things! He forecast the plan to turn the EEC into a Federal State, he forecast loss of sovereignty, he forecast the loss of our lawmaking ability.......the list goes on. Cameron failed to get ANY backing from the states you mention Thopugh he tried, as they were too happy with their snouts in the trough, a trough filled with OUR money! What do you expect from The Guardian? It,s only fit for toilet paper! He claimed to be beaten up, yet had no bruises! Nice one!

    BREXIT

Aha! Back to the "money before freedom" argument!

    BREXIT

I would be hapy to take a substantial bet on this! As for 27 neighbours, 20 of them are basket cases, as well you know, and have to be propped up with EU funds (including our money!) Correct! True, yet you will not hear that from ANY BBC personnel !

    BREXIT

It will be.....on November 1st. Please list ALL the lies, by each side, please. THAT will never happen! I,m happy to take bets on it! Lies and false promises....yet again, please list them, from BOTH sides!

    BREXIT

Life isn,t easy, or straightforward, but we take its journey! with Labour and Momentum? What have you been smoking? So you go along with such a disgusting tactic?

    BREXIT

Oh yes! We certainly do...........a pathetic attempt to subvert democracy!

Sorry, but I HAVE seen it for myself! Pig farmers in Denmark and the Netherlands, for the most part, ignore the EU rules. They get away with it because, when these rules are made, they enthusiastically endorse them, unlike our farmers, who opposed them! The EU made certain we are inspected, but the farmers in the countries mentioned, for the most part, do not, as they appeared to agree with the new rules. It,s rampant throughout the EU. Why do you think bacon from the EU is cheaper than bacon produced here?Food costs are the same... Correct! Correct! A great comparison!

    BREXIT

You clearly did not read this in his post! On top of that, the UK follows these laws to the nth degree, and is severely punished when deviated from, whilst the rest of Europe puts a middle finger up to them and carry on regardless!!! I also have seen the way other EU countries flout the directives to suit themselves!

and you would not be alone! Good post!

    BREXIT

If we had known that, the majority to Leave would have been much greater! Do you consider Corbyn, MacDonnel, Grieve, Hammond, Soubry, Rudd, Morgan, Starmer, Abbott to be the same? Do you actually think someone on the Labour side would be any better?
  15. pinfireman

    BREXIT

Yes, they did! "They generally know better than us".....really? Then maybe it,s time they showed it! That attitude casts them as genii, and the electorate as thickos....how arrogant!

But there is precedent in the modern era: prorogation was used as a workaround in 1948 to undermine efforts of the Lords to protect their powers –and to force through legislation regarding wholesale nationalisation, and with less constitutional valence in 1997 to avoid awkward questions for the Government. Excellent! Excellent!

    BREXIT

As you are well aware, once on the internet, it,s there somewhere forever! All Soubry got was a load of shouted abuse.... As for the media being biased, I really do suggest you read The Noble Lie, by Robin Aitken, a journalist who worked for the BBC for many years. If I had not thought that the BBC was biased before, I certainly would have after reading his book, and seeing his interview on You Tube "How BBC Bias Works. If you were to apply an open mind when reading or watching, you could not fail to admit the bias..... As for the police, they are put under huge pressure by the Remoaner media to act when a Remoaner is heckled or jostled, but when it happens to a Leaver, the media fall silent! Attlee prorogued Parliament, Major did the same (for very unsavoury breasons!) No one said a dickie bird then! Correct!

    BREXIT

Why should there have been a plan? Once the vote was cast, and we voted to Leave, it was up to Parliament to honour the result, and take us OUT! What really happened was that they were gob-smacked when we ignored their advice, and since then , have attempted to overturn the result by any means possible. You and me both !
  19. pinfireman

    BREXIT

Just like Corbyn (a Leaver for 37 years!), and all those MPs who voted overwhelmingly for a Referendum in the first place....."we will honour the result" yeah, right! That,s a safe bet! Raja, are you admitting he,s right? That all the Remoaners want to do is to block Brexit? Not really interested in a deal? Wow! Correct!
  20. pinfireman

    BREXIT

You forget.....LABOUR voted overwhelmingly against the Deal.......

    BREXIT

So someone can scream at Soubry, and get charged, but that does not happen to any of the mob who threatened Farage? Sorry Raja, expected better than that from you. It,s not "POst Brexit yet, so, unless you have a crystal ball, you are wrong!

    BREXIT

But a swerve, all the same! "Was" a Tory ! Hated by the Party, when he threw his lot in with Blair!

    BREXIT

Attacks by a mob on Nigel Farage and his daughters....it,s well documented, and the video is still on You Tube.

    BREXIT

Good show! Whilst everyone inside the Westminster Bubble has been losing their heads over Boris’s perfectly ordinary procedural manoeuvre, Guido thinks it’s always worth reminding pundits about the world outside of SW1. For their lunchtime broadcast, BBC News ventured as far as the Midlands to get the actual electorate’s reaction to the news, only to be astonished that the vast majority of those asked supported the PM’s decision. Watch above…

    BREXIT

Strange, when similar threats have been made against leading Brexiteers, it,s not reported by the Biased Broadcasting Corporation, and no one is charged?
