  1. OUT ! So you are voting OUT ?
  2. I am awaiting delivery of a good used 10 bore Ponsness Warren 375..............Nothing beats these machines in single stage. When it arrives I will put it on here for sale.
  3. and this info came straight from the company who were scrapping the cartridges! Nothing to do with fly-tipping, a separate issue!
  4. The company that was taking scrap cartridges from the manufacturer has now lost it,s supplier. This is due to someone telling all the world on here about shooting "scrap" cartridges instead on cutting them up for their components. Whilst the company should have ensured that the "scrappers" were cut up, they trusted people who bought them to do same......now the manufacturers will no longer send them out, as they do not want to be involved in any litigation because someone has injured themselves with a cartridge that was faulty (which is why it was a scrapper in the first place!!!) Now we all suffer due to the actions of one person. Good job I am well stocked up!
  5. Ponsness Warren 375 Duomatic. Nothing to touch it in the single stage category. A rolls-Royce machine! I have one in 12b, 20b and .410 Great machines.

    28 bore

I am still desparate for empty 28 gauge (bore) cases for reloading...................any amount. Can you help?
  7. Having spent 20 years in and around the gun trade, I can tell you that reatilers make substantially more than 5% ! If you wish to cut your costs of reloading substantially, then form a club, 4 members or more, and buy your components in bulk, Wads at 5,000 a time etc... new primed cases in bulk, etc (although for 40 years I have always used once fired cases from local clay grounds ( I still have several thousand Winchester AA, and Remington RXP from the great days in the 70,s when I used to collect cases from US bases....) For bulk purchases, try SIARM in Italy. I used to get my powder & shot from cut-offs, but recently someone in South Yorkshire blabbed online about how they had "acquired" some scrap cartridges that had not been cut-off, and had shot them off! Now there are no more cut-offs!
  8. When I purchase items from the States, I get them delivered to a pal over there. I pick them up when I holiday there, and provided I get the receipt, and it,s less than £385 I can bring it back with me, and do not pay VAT. Duty is still payable, but at just 4% that is not a problem. But if I ship it back via carriers, I have to pay VAT! Crazy.....So I have my holiday, dump all my old tee shirts and socks, stuff items in my case, and fly home happy!
  9. Yes, I.ll take all I can get.... let me know what the postage would be Second class. Thanks Not looking to pay those prices if possible. I am going to circulate the local clay grounds, to see if I can pick any empties there. Thanks OK John, will do. If you get anymore, save them for me? I,ll take them all the year round. I shoot pigeons most days with my 28 bore semi... Thanks..
  10. If you do go for something better than a Lee Loadall, get a second-hand Ponsness Warren 375 Duomatic. They really are the BEST single stage loader in the world.....eat MECs for breakfast! I know, I have both !
  11. Hi, I,m desparately seeking 28 gauge cases, either primed or unprimed, new or fired....can pay........any amount wanted
  12. I,ve got one, I bought from Cabelas on trip to Utah. Will dig it out, and send you details.

    reloader

Why Mec? I may have a 12 bore Ponsness Warren 375 single stage for sale just after Xmas? In single stage loaders, nothing comes close to a P/W
  14. I have just bought a 28 gauge semi-auto, and a Mec 9000 in 28 gauge, but never gave a thought to the availability of cases. I can buy wads, shot and primers, but cases new or once fired, are as scarce as hens teeth! If you have any, or can obtain any, let me know..............I,m DESPARATE! My local clay ground does not have a 28 shooter, so I must try to obtain them elsewhere. I can pay, and travel, for them.
  15. any powder that,s going cheap suits me! Although I do have a sneaking fondness for Red Dot..........
  16. Hi. I have in my shed 2,000 Winchester AA Trap and Skeet cartridges from 1975 !! Took a box out the other day, shot 23 clays at Skeet! Nothing wrong there. and picked my cases back up,,,,,,,,,,,, I just love American compression cases. 7 or 8 reloads before the case gives up the ghost!
