hmm, shooting of all types, general interest in country sports, rebuilding vintage scooters and rugby.
  1. Bought a Benelli Rafaello Crio in january and love it, looks the dogs danglies too, love the separate upper and lower action block in different finishes... Just get the absolute best you can get in your budget (and beg, borrow and steal the rest, as I did!!). You seem to get what you pay for with autos. HTH Willl
  2. Ben Taylor of BTAS does a tunig package for the HW100 where he replaces the cylinder for an aluminum on and puts a regulator into the equation too. Get hold of him, dont know if there is a website or not as I dont need mine doing, its just too good already. Personally, if you fancy a lightweight gun try the brocock contour, which is fantastically lightweight and accurate, the next on my list... Never heard of just a seperate aftermarket aluminium cylinder though, would be a welcome concept though. HTH Will
  3. Dont have a Rimfire or C/F but if my .177 air rifle isnt putting pellet on pellet at 25 yds then I know its me, and 35 - 45yards then 1/2 - 3/4 inch is easily achieved. This all has to be on a very still day as everybody knows, if somebody on the range farts a bit violently then that pellet has just spoilt the group. Bleedin air rifles, thats why you have to practise with them soo much to get wind guestimation right. Will
  4. Cheers for the comments lads, forgot to mention, came with 4 chokes when only comes with 2 new!! Will
  5. Hello all, justy come away from gunshop with a Benelli Rafaello Crio 12 guage, used for clays, pigeons and the odd fox as I have no other options for it. Will take 3 inch magnums, and will cycle just about anything. Had a longer butt fitted to sort length of pull for my gorilla arms. Cant wait to use it again... Pics included...
  6. It looks like it enjoyed that no 1 shot... will hopefully clear up ne on my patch with my shotgun soon. Will
  7. Not a problem. You need to see my new toy aswell, my old shotgun was a bit small so ive traded it in for a nicer version... See you soon, Will
  8. Erm, matt from Doveridge... he really is a cracking bloke who does a very good deal, bought all of my shotguns from there and he knows his stuff. He also sorted me out when I sold a remington on a forum and it needed RFD'ing to John March in Devon, I hadnt a clue and he just sorted it. Thoroughly recomended Will P.S. Will be shooting the benelli next week and cant wait, a nice step up from my old Mk 38.
  9. Most have respect, the ones you hear about in the paper dont, just as the antis think shooters dont have respect for quarry. Its called the media and if we believe it we will be putty in thier hands. Im not sure if you know that I am 16 or not, but trust me, most lads my age are cracking lads, just the rest of the filthy scrotes that need a good hiding. but then again, throughout the dawn of time hasn't young prople been under scrutiny?? Will
  10. That is america for you, no proper respect for thier quarry.
  11. Well, after having a clayshooting lesson on saturday, I realised that the stock on my Miroku Mk 38 was way too short, after having it for 2 years and not noticing that I have grown 6 inches and my arms are like a gorilla's, I went into the gunshop, and decided to upgrade, and saw a beretta ulrika I liked just traded in in immaculate condition. I went home to sleep on it, well I came back to referee on the same ground and went into the shop beforehand to put my deposit down and found that they had sold the gun in a matter of hours!! So when I finished refereeing (bleedin' cold...) I went back in to have another look round, and saw a Benelli Raffaello Crio for sale, went for a cup of tea for a think and went back in and put the deposit down. Its going to the gunsmith for a longer pad next week, but apart from that, I am properly chuffed!! Could never of said on friday that I would have a different shotgun and be a thousand pound lighter!! But needs must and if it doesnt fit it doesnt fit. Oh and before you ask, I had traded the Mk 38 in for a stonking price to help me along with the deal. Cheers, Will
  12. ****** me, did you get that at the stables?? or is this a nice new bit of land alltogether?? See you soon mate, been trying to get out myself but cant find the time with exams and work at the mo. Well done anyhow, another ****** off the patch. Give us a ring when you get chance so I can get an excuse to 'make time', my trigger finger is getting mighty twitchy... Will
  13. I vote for this to become a sticky, and should be played to every new member of PW!
  14. Bog standard wooly beanie, keeps you head dead warm all the time and no restricted vision, a hood over the top when it is wet, just find what works for you becayse I cant weat a big russian critter with earflaps, as it feels strange when shooting because it interferes with my cheekweld. Just a thought, know plenty who use them fine though. HTH Will
  15. Well we wouldnt want old bazil to get the better of us would we, give us a ring when you are free, Cheers, Will
