  1. I think it's much like different firearms departments they all interpret the rules in a different way. I am happy when my licence comes in the post to give you his details and contact number and you can speak to him directly and discuss your issues with him as they say don't shoot the messenger.
  2. Not according to the envirment agency they issue the licences and set down the rules I will to his advice as I do on here and then do what I think is right
  3. Had my licence approved today had a very good chat with the man from the environment agency he asked for the return of the larger males as they are aggressive and help keep the population stable. As this is for fisheries management it was approved he did say that I may need to get more traps than I applied for, I informed him I was waiting for there advice first but we are going to go with two traps to start with in the main two lakes and if I need more I just need to contact them.

  11. Hi kent I have no changed my proses since I've changed powder nothing else has changed so how just because I've changed powder can I be over sizing my brass I only neck size anyway if I am doing something wrong then feel free to explain but as I say my proses have not changed my sizing dies have not been adjusted only my seating die.
  12. Sorry told you I was having a thick day in used to run Varget at 43gr with same bullet
  13. Now the brass has been fire formed I only neck size I use N130 on my 223 but have never seen any signs of shooting as I moved over to N140 as varget became unavailable I worked my loads up to near max and then dropped back again as grouping spread still had sooting at higher end so I think you must be right re the type of powder. I have been reloading for around 4 years but never seen this so I thought I would ask.
  14. I don't own a chrono and I think lots of people that home load don't I can use my mates next time we go to the range but as per the Sierra website I'm under max load about middle of the road really
  15. Sorry mate maybe it's me no thinking or just a bit stupid but what does £&& mead
  16. Gun is only 12 months old it's fired about 100 rounds in total so no damage and not worn out ever case is 2.036". I'm using Norma brass that has been fire formed in the gun would it be worth resizing them again???
  17. Make yourself a good ghillie suit use field craft move slow and low on your belly you should be able to get into a good shooting position or use night vision
  18. Hi I have been reloading my 223 & 243 for a few years now I have had to change powder due to not being able to get varget anymore. In my 243 I am using 38.3gn of Vihtavuori N140 with a 70gn Sierra Blitzking I am getting signs of low pressure around the neck and top of case black soot type marks. The rounds group clover leaf at 100yrds. Sierra say max load is 38.8 and minimum load 37.4. So I can not see why I am getting soot on my cases any idea please?
  19. I think the only reason a shotgun has to be a section one is due to it being outside the description of a normal shot gun I am going to apply for one this year on renewal. My mate uses his for for every thing not sure I would pull up at a game shoot with a semi never mind a section one shotgun but that's just me.
