My personal view would be to spend as little as possible on a first car, go for the older lower milage because it may well be sold on within 12 months. Think about it how long do most of us keep our first car before we want to upgrade or stack it?

No, sorry.

As has been said above it may well depend on the ground and acreage that we are talking about. We used to control rabbits with shotguns almost all year round, 2 people shooting off the back of a Toyota hilux & 1 lamping. Depending on the farmers views, crops & access to a 4x4 you can wait for a decent frost & drive on cereal crops this time of year without causing damage. Bang away to your hearts content, obviously the bunnies will get wise after a few outings though!

Hi - every time I put a round into my Webley I have to push in that little button on the side, which is a bit awkward, especially if wearing gloves and therefore renders it not very good for pigeon shooting. My mate shoots a Benelli and he can just slide a round in. Is there anyway I can get round this?
Yes, buy yourself a Benelli, simple
Sorry, I know that's not a lot of help.

Thanks for another excellent day Shaun, I promise not break anything next time! Also nice to meet Adrian (Fenboy) again too, good display of shooting whilst roosting, I might join in next time.

I always take my unwanted mags to the local greasy spoon or doctors & dentists waiting rooms etc...Spreads the word about our sport...And im always glad to pick up a shooting mag when im waiting somewhere...
Just a thought if you cant shift em mate
Thanks for that, It just seemed a waste to throw them out, they do contain a few good articles. I may try that if no one wants them

As per the title for collection or may be able to deliver during my travels around Norfolk/Suffolk I have 9 copies of The Shooting Gazette, 6 copies of The Field and 39 copies of The Shooting Times from 2009-2010 that may be of interest to someone?
Merry Christmas

i dont use feeders i hand feed, its not the numbers that bother me because they are not shooting any amount, its just the way they shoot the birds that i find annoying, i am a fulltime single handed keeper and do my best to show sporting birds, to see your hard work shot like vermin is bloody irritating,
i can be bloody irritating as well, up till now i have given them the benefit of trusting them but they have shot bits that they said they were not going to and generally been a bit dishonest about things, well if thats the state of play i have to play the game also and step up a measure
To be perfectly honest this is a typical situation but sadly they are doing nothing wrong. You say they shot bits they said they were not going to, assuming they have permission to be on the land then they simply changed their minds, no crime there either. As for stepping up a measure can I suggest that you don't do anything stupid that puts your job, certificate etc in jeopardy. What have you got planned?
Good luck on resolving the situation, I hope the land owner comes round to your way of thinking.

If only I didn't have to work, have a good day.

Another excellent offer, you can count me in thanks.

Yes quite common, but my father was a keeper up until a couple of years back so you kind of come to expect it, we've certainly had some interesting experiences with some undesirable people.
-
It's an MG, surely you can just reach in through the holes in the rusted body panels?

I was asked to leave my local and never return after emptying there two fruit machines a few times, mind you the landlord was a fairly heavy gambler so I guess he was a little put out..

does he provide digs ......what a job
Where ferrets are involved I reckon digs are a cert!!

Depends if it wooden stock or synthetic really.
Wooden stock: I would suggest using any red cased plas wad cartridges above a 28 gram.
Synthetic stock: Blue or green cased cartridges in either fibre or plas wad above a 24 gram load.
Failing that I'm sure someone else will be along soon with some more advice.![](https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_yes.gif.pagespeed.ce.pkInD80mmR.gif)
Welcome to pw by the way!
