  1. Great Shooting Sir, i always have to look twice at the bag number as they are so large for winter shooting! You seem to break the ton regularly which is incredible! Keep up the good work
  2. As i write this 2 red kites are circling my house dive bombing the potatoes and left over meat from last night! birds of prey everywhere in Cambridgeshire
  3. Thats very sad to hear Fenny. I have also had the pleasure of shooting with Fenny and he gave me invaluable advice and incouragement ,even when i couldn't hit a barn door. Without knowing the details im in no position to judge but armed trespass is a serious crime and i think others should be aware of such a person. I hope your relationship with your farmer is undamaged and you do not lose land over this. Your generousity is greatly appreciated and it would be a real shame to let the actions of one person impact every safe shooter. All the best. Youngdecoyer.
  4. Hi everyone. It was my 18th birthday on Christmas Day and my main Birthday present was my Fathers Miruko 6000 (grade 3) shotgun. He brought it nearly 30 years ago, brand new and has now passed it down to me. I can't wait to get out use it. I don't think he minds as he brought two new shotguns before the pheasant season began! A browning and a ceasar Guerini shotgun. Bit greedy getting 2!
  5. Hi everyone, Me and my brother are selling logs. 1-5 nets = £7 each 6-11 nets = £6 each 12+ nets = £5 each We can deliver within reason, we live near Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire feel free to ask questions !
  6. Hi everyone. Was just looking on shootingwarehouse and am considering buying their extentable bouncers (buy 2 get 1 free offer) . I have a magnet with foam decoys and don't really want to buy anymore so was going to use real dead birds. I assume the bouncers are light so will dead pigeon be too heavy for the bouncers? Any advice or experience with the shootingwarehouse bouncers would be great. Cheers Youngdecoyer
  7. Nice shooting fenny. Were you in that pit like last friday? You got the picture working as well.
  8. Thanks for taking us out Fenny. Your a top bloke for giving others the chance for some good sport. It was a great experience with some really good shots in the wind and rain. Cheers Ali
  9. Hi Everyone. I have netted chopped wood for sale. All nets have a minimum of 15kg and depending upon the number you want,I can alter the price. So, 1-7 £7 8-15 £6 15+ £5 I can deliver within reason and we do have a horsebox if a large number is required. I live on the bedforshire/cambridgeshire border near Kimbolton. Cheers Youngdecoyer.
  10. I was pretty bored today and didn't want feel like doing any Alevel revision so went for a drive around one my permissions. I saw a steady stream of birds flying across a wheat field and into a some sitting trees on the edge of a huge wood. I went back to the house grabbed the gun and some shells. I found a nice spot with good coverbut with a view. The wind tried to channel them but there was no precise flightline, some were high but others glided in. I had some good sport for a few hours and managed to bag 11 for 20 shots. Dinner for tomorrow night is sorted Every sinlge birds was full of peas, but in cambridgeshire? im sure the land is wrong for peas. Any thoughts? Ali
  11. Hiya everyone, just thought i would upload a pic of me and my small bag. I went to my permission on sunday after rugby training, the farmer had just drilled his bean fields and thought the pigeons maybe hitting it, as they must be getting sick of rape after the harsh winter. I arrived at about 2ish and setup on a flightline that the pigeon seemed to be working as they would only be around for a few more hours. First pigeon drifted over and it fell like a stone. What a nice start. A fellow pigeon shooter (Mark) who also had permission to shoot, heard my shot and came over for a chat he said he had setup a few hundred yards up the hedge and wondered if i wanted to join him. I jumped at the chance to gain some first hand experience. We took it in turns to shoot while the other one spotted the pigeons, Mark already had 26 from the morning and the next 2 hours was great fun. I managed a further 7 and i asked him all about pigeon shooting, what pattern he uses, cartridges, ratios and pretty much everything else! Mark picked up 30 and i had 8 ( for 15 cartridges, which i was well chuffed with) so it's always worth going out and giving it a go, you will never know want will happen or who you will meet. i cannot wait to go shooting with him over the summer.
  12. I believe you m8, if your really shooting well theres no reason to miss. keep up the good work.
  13. Hello, im on the edge of Cambridgshire in a village called Tilbrook. (next to kimbolton) cheers for the replay.
  14. Cheers m8 but i've got BASC insurance and maybe i might just go and speak to the farmer down the road. Cheers. On my bus journey into school each day i go passed a rape field packed with pigeon every morning without fail, and i can't seem to see any scares or gas guns around. As its half term next i think im going to find out who the farmer is and ask if i can control his pigeons ( or at least keep them off his land). Is there any way i can find out who the farmer is?? Ali
