The FAO has recently passed my cabinet (i moved house) to store my 3 shotguns, the question id like answered is, am i allowed to now store my guns in the cabinet while i wait for my cert to be returned after renewal, or do i keep them stored in my fathers cabinet until my cert is returned? is there a law regarding this?

Im applying for a firearms and renewing my shotgun cert, so i had the FAO come over to inspect my cabinet on monday, he was here for about 10 minutes max! Had a quick look at the cabinet gave it a bit of a push, a couple of questions and off he went, said he'd send it off that day and i should expect it returned in 2 weeks!? Oh he also asked / suggested if the .22rimfire i was applying for would be used for foxes? doesnt BASC state that this is not allowed? My answer was only head shots at close range.

Farmer phoned tonight asked if i could go down to sort some crows / magpies out for him. I have have shot corws before, but only going inot roost. I was after the best way to go about this, he says they are on the fields in huge numbers when he is out feeding the sheep. Would it be wise to shoot at this time, decoy them or get them at roost? any advice, tip or tricks greatfully appreciated!! cheers

i sent my shotgun cert off a week before christmas, i also sent an application for a firearms, a co-terminous? still havent heard anything back off them!

My father's 30 year old series 3 Landie has travelled to Scotland, 6 times i think, once all the way to the Orkneys. If memory serves me we had about 3 break downs in all that time, so not bad!! :thumbs:
