  1. Labs are prone to fatty tissue lumps but usually when they get older, our Lab also a black lived to a ripe 15 years, your pup is a beauty mate wish you all the best with her
  2. ranting that it was his station! as mentioned before why did 2 officers not assist in taking her to a cell? she was clearly roughly treated to the extent of her injuries, and it was also a fellow officer that reported his actions! deserved his sentence.
  3. thanks for the advice, slip is ordered
  4. Needles, petrified of the things, I always chuck a whitey everytime I hear the plastic paper covering getting taken off of the things, yet I have a few tattoos which I am ok about but injections (needles look 3' feet long )
  5. what are the thoughts on which to transport your shotgun in when travelling to and from the shooting ground? I have at the moment a plastic moulded case with one side foam padded and I have covered the moulded side in those micro cloths to stop any marking of the stock or barrels, or do most have both a slip and case? thanks for the advice in advance
  6. that statement can apply to shooting as a whole, lets get rid of our guns, there's been more killings related to guns in general than the complete dog population, so unless your dog fetches your quarry from the field put it down! I show my dogs thats my pastime, as for having to enlarge my genetalia as I own a Rottie listen to yourself, write something constructive it's a forum not a playground.
  7. and just to round off my rant, try putting your chartham method machine on your own forehead and expose your true self, as I own a rottie and 2 dogue de bordeauxs and dont need any help in the nether regions, sums up your politics or ignorance as the case may be, so feel free to get pumping!
  8. Most Standard Poodles are "soft" and sensitive dogs, sometimes hypersensitive. If you touch them unexpectedly or startle them with a sudden loud sound, they tend to flinch. The most sensitive individuals are not good with small children. so now you going to say not my dog? all dogs require a responsible owner/handler not a few months ago the staffie was being put in the limelight, yes too many use dogs (general term) as a status symbol and these just like the irresponsible gun owner need to be weeded out but how? how do you know when a dog or some one in possesion of a firearm will do something unnacceptable? you can keep a dog under control on a lead, we try and licence gun ownership. you own a gun why? you wanted one, you are responsible enough to have one, but everyman could kill/mame but does not, we are not all phsycotic only some! I wanted and do own dogs and have like most owned them all my life and responsibly I would like to think. a dog like any pet is a wild animal, and I would class a standard poodle as a large breed too!
  9. the skeletool is usefull and well made and the good thing is being able to choose what tools you use most instead of carrying a complete swiss army with you retail for the skeletool was £67 I got one off of amazon for £29 result!
  10. go to Amazon and search for "Buck knife" I ended up opting for the Leatherman skeletool but they have a not too bad range. Buck Knife
  11. one of our Bordeaux's suffered painfully with hyperkerotosis and she was prescribed "Tramadol" for pain relief! this was as strong as could be given to her to offer some comfort, looking back now there was a humerous conversation with the pharmicist telling us that she really shoud sign for this prescription herself and that she shouldn't drive a car or work machinary either can still remember the look on her face haha!!

    Headlights

a better option could be to fit an HD lighting kit, dont know what the cost would be for your car though somebody might offer an answer to that bit? it does make a huge difference but is legal
  13. down south DAF are not too bad (Durham Animal Feeds) the bordeauxs get pound and a half of tripe (raw black tripe) with a cup of all in one dry food as a mixer, all mixed together as a slop, they love it (I know it sounds rank) but the results speak for themselves. labrador bite pressure is 125lb a bordeaux is the top of the canine world at 1000lb if any comparison, weight wise varies for a lab but just replace the commercial food with same weight of tripe as a good start and adjust to suit, we never use commercial food and swear by the barf diet (raw tripe, chicken and the likes) you can buy it from pets at home to try but it costs 5x as much aprox £3.70 for a bag.
  14. we feed our dogs (2x dogue de bordeauxs and rottie) tripe the ddb's are a real fussy dog to feed with easy stomach problems so tripe is the preferred food by them and breeders alike, does wiff a bit but is cheap 20x 1lb bags £8.00 delivered frozen to your door, they are well muscled and not over weight if you can call an 11 stone male and 10 stone female underweight!
  15. Our shooting ground does Clever Mirage 28g 7.5 for £130 per 1,000 packed lose in boxes of 200, North Ayrshire shooting ground
