I went to look at a defender today and planned on picking it up tomorrow but i have just done a vehicle check with rac and i got this: The current plate was transferred to this vehicle on 27/07/2009 BAL4N was applied to this vehicle on 23/06/2009 This VRM has been recorded as being written-off The insurance write-off was recorded on 05/12/2006 against a BMW 520I SE A J235SRU was applied to this vehicle on 01/07/1992 There are no interests recorded against J235SRU this is all a bit confusing to me so could anyone help me out, it says it has been written off but was this anoter car that the private plate was on? should i stay clear of this? any help appreciated.

ring around the insurance companies like i did and you will see what prices you will get, they just dont like 4x4s

I called adrtian flux last week and they said that i would be looking at 3 to 3 and a half grand on a defender and 2 grand for a small car.

I have for sale my yukon nvrs-f night vision scope. It is in great condition as you can see, it has always been kept in the leather case even on the gun, i am selling because i barely ever use it so there is no point having it. it is a great piece of kit and well worth the money. it also comes with the magnification doubler and the extra infa red which allows you to see about twice as far, it has never been exposed to daylight. I have done that and it is about the same, I think that i may start ringing up to see if i get a better qoute, i am hoping to get a car ready for when i get my license and would idealy like a defender.

I know that this is a subject that has been covered before but recently insurance seems to have changed, anyway I am looking to buy my first car soon but dont want to buy a car to find out that i cant insure it. I would like a land rover 90, where is the best place to find insurance for one and what other cars are worth considering that would be insurable, does any one have any experience insuring their 4x4 at 17. what insurance companies should i look at, at the moment on go compare i am getting quotes of 4 grand plus. It is .22 calibre and about 12 months old . the scope is not included as i have sold it to a close friend ,it has air arms silencer , air arms 10 shot conversion , sling mounts for sling, bipod or both . also theres a green deerhunter slip . i camo taped silencer to stop scratches , theres a bit of varnish off near trigger guard where the bipod was rubbing . it is a great gun in good condition, i am near bishop's stortford in hertfordshire/essex . looking for a quick sale as dont have much time to finish my project . you can call or txt me on **************** . £300 ONO

yep, the 20mph limit and silly radious from my house, all i have found is 17 year olds wanting to insure their 700cc raptors and finding that they cant, nfu is probably the best bet i suppose but its a pain getting a quote

I am considering getting a utility quad when i pass my test but want to know what the insurance on them is like, i know that for older people it is around £150 but i imagine that its a bit like car insurance. I have tryed to get quotes but rather than giving me a quote they just keep calling up, so does anyone have any experience with quad insurance

That is a nice car for 17 , I have heard that NFU will only insure you if you have farm cover is this true?
