  1. call raptor rescue on 0870 241 0609 Paul
  2. I got the Deerhunter Ram jacket and trousers in the new APG pattern and they're superb, have been out in some very cold weather with just a t shirt under the coat and nothing under the trousers and not been remotely cold.
  3. My advice would be to leave the wife at home and make the most of the attention while it lasts!
  4. I have the SP5 and its a beautiful gun but looking on the shelves at various gunshops the quality and finish of wood can vary a lot. Mine was handpicked for me by Andy Whitemore at Avalon guns and I'm yet to see one as nice in any other shop. As you can see in the pictures the darker action is nothing like the garish blue colour you see in Beretta's adverts. As long as the gun fits you it doesn't really matter which (3 or 5) you go for but do shop around to find a nice one. Paul
  5. On all the semi's I've used, you unscrew the large kno (ooh err Missus!) on the front of the forend to remove the barrel for cleaning, only takes seconds Paul
  6. Obtaining a licence to trap signal crayfish is free of charge and is a formality but you do need the landowners permission. The relevant form (FR2)can be downloaded here, http://www.efishbusiness.co.uk/formsandguides/FR2v051.pdf Please be aware it is a legal requirement to check ANY traps at least once every 24 hours. On my local river I can fill a trap very quickly and often drop one in whilst I walk the dog and collect it 15 - 30 minutes later with up to 30 signals in it! Signals make great eating and my favourite method is to keep them live in fresh clean water (pref' oxygenated and filtered or changed regularly) for a minimum 24 hours then dropped live into salted boiling water for 5 minutes. Be careful doing this as sometimes the flapping tail can flick boiling water over you! When cooled remove the meat from the tails and claws and fry gently in garlic butter for a few minutes.
  7. Picture taken yesterday of the pups, 5 weeks old tomorrow! Starting to look more like GSP's now
  8. Hi Got a very nice Lincoln advertised for sale on ********** if you're interested Paul
  9. A good friend of mine in Ireland has a litter of GSP's for sale at only £150 each! I personally have worked with the grandfather and father of these pups and they were the best dogs I've EVER shot over. I have been waiting 15 years to get a pup from these and had to pass up the opportunity last time due to living in rented accomodation but will be going over mid October to collect one and would be happy to bring back more if anyone's interested. PM me if you need any more info or pictures. Paul
