Whilst at the Midland Game fair this weekend i bought a Greener GP MK11 Martini henry 12g, Always fancied one of theses , i like classic guns so one of theses has always interested me ,i think its the later webley model with the circlip pins .Did'nt realise the barell was removable just unscrew the slotted pin pull the ejector arm down and out it screws ,amazing . I totally stripped it, looked like it had'nt been cleaned in a long time ,was'nt to difficult to strip but tricky to re-assemble once done i now have the knack, so can't wait to shoot it ,but got things on next weekend so i'll have to wait for a couple of weeks ,if you have any tips or info pelase share i'm all ears , regards, ,Mark

RFD mate was interested in yours until you found the barrels....
Now he's asking me to source a barrel!
Think i may have swooped on all the spare barrels in the uk.lol
-
Thanks scully, feel like xmas is coming can't wait till the barrels arrive Mon or Tue.

My apologies for jumping on the thread, but having seen from the other one that your issue is sorted I didn't think you would mind?
I have a twelvette in the cabinet, which I really enjoy using on clays occasionally, however the safety catch slide is very loose and engages itself occasionally. Is there a ready source of small spares anywhere, or is it a case of just hunting around for items when required. I'd really like to fix it and use it for walked up pheasants as it was intended.
Many thanks
Hi, try wabbitbosher on this forum he broke 2 of these a while back . I have secured 2 barrels for my DA so problem solved he may have the spares you need , regards, Mark.

Good to hear it's sorted out!
If only I could find some 24" rifle sighted barrels as easily....
Hi sadddler, thanks once again for your help ,seems all i needed to do was see wabbitbosher ,he's had 2 barrels knocking about for years and was going to chop them this week. So i take it you have a D/A as well needing the sighted barrels?

I'll see what options appear i might even buy another DA just for the barrel. Let me know what other info you have ,you have been very helpful, thanks, Mark.

I know an RFD (Gunsmith) who has a soft spot for the Double Auto, will send him a message asking for advice.
You may be able to have just the barrel extension replaced. Will find out.
The first photo shows proof marks. NOT made/proofed in the USA, were they? So WHY concentrate a search for a barrel in the most difficult country to export gun parts from, due to ITAR & the physical distance? A lot of parts for these can be found in France & Belgium
Hi ,thanks for your response , i did a search in the UK for barrels or extensions the only results i got were barrels available in the US. Yes this is a Belgium made Liege gun i agree that sourcing a extension or barrel in these parts would be better i just dont know who to ask. As you stated a extension is the only part required the barrel is in excellent condition i am looking into maybe getting it proffesionaly TIG welded. I would be very grateful of any help from your gunsmith contact as i really like this gun and would hate to have to scrap it. pm me if you require any further info , regards, Mark.

Out shooting yesterday 12 carts into a box and action jammed, on releasing the jam back at home came across this looks like the recess for the locking block has fractured ,question is do i fix it or have it replaced , Now being a classic gun spare barrels are hard to find . Ive managed to find one in America but he will only post to inside US, how do i go about getting a barrel imported from the US or is there anywhere in the UK that could either repair this barrel or make a new extension . Your thoughts please.

Remember the good reason would need to be for having the knife not the pliers or other tools presuming it is eith iner over 3 inch blade, or locking which I believe all leathermans do
Agreed, but i think a proportion of common sense has to be applied and passing the police "attitude test "at the start of any encounter always helps,

Have a leatherman in my bike pack which does get used regularly to destone and denail my tyres ,would a officer see this use as reasonable cause for having one i'll ask next week.Dont think i'd get away with my Gerber Gator 15 inch though!

It'll probably be best to stay away from Facebook, then.

Ride coast to coast in the USA,Dive on the great barrier reef, visit Iceland and hopefully see the northern lights. This is what i'm working towards when my retirement kicks in.

Stayed there for 2 nights a few years ago. Stayed in the pub right at the front by the beach and slip way ,Locals seem friendly enough, had a nice meal in the fish restaurant next door ,met Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen,apparently he has a pad down there, very famous little village been used for lots of movie backdrops and of course the series doc Martin. If you ever seen the movie from the 80's Supergrass theres a scene where Robbie Coltrane walks along the harbour wall in full storm tide with waves crashing all around great scene.Oh one more thing make sure your fuel tank is not near empty when you go into the village i took my 306 cabriolet i had at the time down there and because the roads are so steep the fuel wouldnt suck through the pick up pipe in the tank and it couldn't make it up the hill (true story) had to get a local to tow me up the steep hill. Hope this helps have a great time.
