alros trailsman wanted in any condition, please,
  2. price and info please,cash waiting..john
  3. any non believers please read the quote at the bottom of my signature.......and no alot of us havent been big game hunting in africa but we still know a big cat pad mark when seen.. any cat prints can be identified from dog/fox etc as they have retractable claws and dont leave a claw hole at the end of each pad as the others will..there are a few incidents of gamekeepers that have shot cats on their land but never openly reported it,one kept a leopard in the freezer for a number of years after bieng shot then sold it on to a taxidermist..
  4. everybody seems to be massey mad...try going for a fordson dexta,,cheap to buy,,loads of parts available new and second hand, nice to drive and work..
  5. it seems alot of people dont want to talk about it for the same reason.but these animals are not from another planet and can live in the uk fine with the abundance of wild food, and its usually only when they take livestock that there presance is known..getting a sighting of one of these cats in the wild be it puma, leopard or lynx should be classed as a privalege..
  6. I dare say most of our pw comunity spend alot of time in the field be it night or day so we are in a prime position for sightings.has anyone actually seen an ''alien big cat'' as they are so called or think they have may seen one..there are around 2500 reported sightings each year from across the country..
  7. dont try filling it from a workshop compressor unless you want to ruin the gun..these are charged with breathing air which is filtered and dry..workshop compressors will have water in them and it wont be anywhere near enough pressure anyway as it will need 2900psi to charge this not 190psi..

    post

depends who is sending it..private sale yes..gun shop no,unless its to your local rfd..
  9. i also have a domin8or and did strip it once soon after i had it ,bad mistake,i must have nicked a seal on re-build and would not hold pressure.i took it to scr for them to re-seal it.they also shortened the barell so the silencer screws on right at the point where the air cylinder ends..much better as rather long when standard he had to up the power a little due to the shorter barell..let us know how you get on..
  10. would you split the 2240,if so what price..
  11. just scrapped a s2 with good running gear,,chassi rotten ,,,,sorry..
  12. i agree with mickanles, sounds like your pellets are being clipped by the silencer, probably has been knocked or come loose.. remove and test again
  13. great footage,,sometimes its good to observe rather than shoot...
  14. your cages with inch mesh are perfect for mink, even youg mink wont get through that...traps going off with nothing caught in them, well that could be you setting them too fine or mice entering through the open end and exiting through the mesh,or even birds hopping on the trap(i caught a blackbird in one once but was fine on release)if you find a regular run leave your trap there,if you find another run set another trap..if there is a good food supply then they will stick around and if you have shot one guarantee there will be more..mink usually have a couple of good holding grounds they frequent and may move for a short while but they will be back..
  15. i use a shooting chrony f1 for all my airgun testing,i find they give accurate readings..use them out or indoors if the light is right..these read in fps so you have to do the math for converting to ftlb but all the info should come with the chrono, check it is if going down the second hand route..
  16. its verry doutfull you air rifle is over heating,it more likely to be inconsistant pellets.i had similar problem with ratcatcher using eley wasps, they were all over the place.i swapped to daystate ft's and the grouping was perfect..swap ammo and test again..
  17. hi all at pw, new to the forum just poped in to say hello and introduce myself,im a dedicated air gun shooter and avid collector of air rifles and pistols..this is my first forum of any kind to be part of,and reading through a few topics it seems it will be a good source of info and chat.thanks and see you soon..
