  1. Hi THESE GUNS ARE ACE, KEEP IT. I BOUGHT ONE AROUND THE SAME TIME, STILL USE IT, DONT BELIEVE THE UNEDUCATED BULL **** SPOUTED BY THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER EVEN USED ONE, THEY WILL HANDLE ANY CARTRIDGE WHICH SUITS THE CHAMBER, THE BARELLS ARE CHROME PLATED AND ARE TOLLERANT OF MISSED CLEANING OPORTUNITIES, AND CONTRARY TO THE KNOW IT ALLS THE WOODWORK IS WALLNUT, I HAD MINE APRAISED BY AN EXPERT. I WILL EMAIL THIS TO MY SON. REGARDS FRANK
  2. Hi JIMBO I had a Stevens 16 bore SBS which did the same shocking thing, it to was attributed to worn sears. Regards Frank
  3. Lets get things into perspective, this attack on lead shot is the smoke screen to deprive us of our shooting in total, it will make older guns unusable through steel shot being imposed, it will make the cost of amunition go through the roof to a point where we ordinary blokes cannot afford it, I used to cough a bit at buying 2 3/4" mag no4s lead at 28 pence each a few years back, now I buy none- toxic shot at close to 1 1/2 quid a shot and and I am to frightened to use them untill I have forgotten how much they cost. The report on Swan depicted on the xray did not identify where the bird came from and what other items are contained within the crop, they stated 'some ' shot was lead what was the other type? and what percentage, it is possible to identify the source of the lead shot through phorensic testing and data bases. Is it possible these birdies are devious enough to seed the feeding areas to get the results they want. As others have stated there is lead shot in the mud and ground that has been there for a couple of hundred years, over my sixty years being out in the field, wetland and recreational water areas I have never sean a duck , goose or swan behave as the mallard seen on the report, although I have seen birds with feather distortions due to being over fed on bread by kind bird lovers. I think its time to stop as the blood preasure is rising. Good shooting to all who are interested and damn to hell those who arn't Rgards Frank
  4. Hi It is realy nice to see someone able to live the dream and produce a wonderfull piece of work, I wish you many happy outings for you and your children, what glorious memories it will generate. Good luck and best wishes. Frank
  5. Hi I went to W Richards, 10AThe Pavement, Pocklington. Chris supplied me with a short barell for my escort secondhand, he might have some more?. Regards Frank
  6. Hi has any one got a spare butt pad for an early escort, the flat one with a steped recess to fit in the plastic butt, the one I have is 7/8" 15mm which gives a longer length of pull than what I would like, I am looking for 3/8" 10mm or less. That extra 1/4" makes a difference to a clean mount and not so clean. I would be greatfull if some one can put me intouch with one. Regards Frank
  7. Hi Harvey, What length of pull is your short stock please. Frank
  8. Hi Has any one got a but pad for an escort 12 auto to sell, I think it is an early model, the one I have is 5/8" 15mm, I could do with a very thin one to reduce the length of pull. Regards Frank
  9. You have just sold a VOSTOK, 10 times the cost of a Baikal when new. Pity I didn't see it earlier. Frank
  10. HI APACHE Thanks again, it was realy great of you, the lad is over the moon. The gun clamp arived today, I was very surprised at the size and weight, so additional thanks for the expence you have gone to. I have contacted the Humberside Firearms section who have said the gun clamp with one gun will be ok subject to the usual visit and compliance requirements, he can now start the process of applying for his certificate. Thanks again and best regards, Frank
