Hi I am in need of some technical advice. Some years ago I inherited a hammer gun made by a well known maker, I have used the gun a few times and put meat on the table with 3" Alphamax BBs. I have checked on the proof marks which appears to show it is in proof, however there has been a 'repair' made at some time in its life prior to it comming into my care, which leaves me wandering if it would still be in proof, the repair in question is the foreend retention post which appears to be soldered to the barrell centre joint and whiped up onto the barrels, is this an acceptable way to make this repair or is it a plumbers bodge up, and will the heat have dammaged the barrells. Hi I have an AYA #3 SbS 20guage, double trigger,none ejector, 27" barells Cyl x Cyl, lop 14.5" ish, good condition 50% blue on action, Bores good, 2 3/4 chambs. REDUCED £380.00 Usual conditions for shotgun transactions, face to face with valid cert & cash.
