  1. Does anyone know of anywhere doing sporting in Hampshire this weekend coming. Missed the weekend just gone and need to get out cannot wait till my next local shoot which is not on until 12th June. Any suggestions?
  2. Otters are vermin but protected. Kill fish just for the sake of it. One of our club lakes has an otter that has killed a few 30lb carp. Kill 5 or 6 fish half eat one of them and then ****** off.
  3. I have been looking at a different general licence to you, i have read the one you are on about OGL04 but if you read GL06 it does not mention anything about public health or protection of crops! WML-GL04 comes under the heading Prevention of damage or disease and WML-GL06 comes under the heading of Conserving flora & fauna. I take it there is more than one general licence issued for different things as the 2 licences above read almost the same except for the fact why you can destroy or kill a certain bird ect.
  4. People keep on about serious crop protection and health and safety but i have just read through the general licence (natural england) and cannot find any mention of serious crop protection or health and safety. Perhaps i am having a blind day but defo cannot see it mentioned on there.
  5. Doing Thruxton again this year BSB and Assen for the moto gp.
  6. They may be classed as wildfowl because thats what they are but technically if they can be shot all year round they technically have no closed season? Simples.
  7. Ok i stand corrected about being a close season but all the same according to BASC website they can be shot all year in England. What i put in my previous post was cut and pasted from there website! I have just been to BSAC website again and read what it says about geese and have come to this conclusion. There is 4 types of geese named on there site, Canada, White Fronted,Pink Footed and Greylag. Whilst i agree there is a close season for geese it does not include the Canada. As you can shoot Canada Geese all year round in England can someone please explain how they have a closed season. The very words CAN BE SHOT ALL YEAR would sugest to me these are not included in the Geese close season.
  8. If you read the post before yours you will see according to BASC they can be shot all year. So no one is going to be able to give you the dates of a close season because there ain't one.
  9. Canada geese This species can be shot throughout the year (i.e. during the close season) in England only under the terms and conditions of specific general licences. As downloaded from BASC website. I think what people mean by quoting season is when they are nesting. In the same way i will not fish when the Carp are spawning.
  10. Never been asked about Pies before on a job application, but just for the record PUKKA are best!
  11. This time of the year you would be better off in a boat, still a little early for Mackeral from the shore. Just go to most harbours in the west country and Mackeral fishing trips seem to be advertised everywhere. Hope you find somewhere and catch a few.
  12. A mate of mine had one but i did not think much of it. He struggled to keep up when we went on a ride out and had it resprayed a horrible burgandy colour. He has just got rid and brought himself a brand new 1198, loadsa money, he probably won't be able to ride this also! The only thing i like about Dukes is the way they sound, i mean the engine not the rattely clutch basket.
  13. Duty to the service you are in. We all know what the discipline is going to be like before we go in but hey thats what makes our services the best in the world. The fact that everyone serving in the uk military wants to be there unlike other countries where you have conscriptions.
  14. The police may not link the 2 but Anti Gun Lobbyists and some Polititions do thats why handguns got banned!
