Good question, the problem for me with dryfire is its two dimensional hence no perception of depth and distance. I suppose you might get used to it but the laser dot definately won't change size.
-
Sounds good, a bit un-Worsley like even?
-
Any reviews from this?
Decided to go to catton instead.
-
Sounds doable if planned properly in sufficient time. Thanks for all your input
-
Many thanks all for the advice.
It sounds doable as long as you do your homework first.

Can anyone advise how much hassle is involved in taking your gun abroad to say the US or Europe to shoot an international competition? Any tips or advice gratefully received.
-
Ah that explains it, perhaps they should take the sign down then.
-
Many Thanks, I could have sworn the lady behind the desk said fibre only when I visited about a year ago? Maybe wrong though.
-
Is Worsley fibre only for practice?
Assume plastic is ok for registered?
-
Rishton GC for good non registered targets and competition. 9 stands for 50 sporting can't be bad.

just heard back from Nick Mallinson, they are at the shepherds rest pub on lumbutts road todmorden 2nd and last sunday of month.

Anyone shoot here? What is it like? Does anyone have any directions and a fixture list, I can't seem to find a website.

Hi Kev, sounds like a good day out and 69 is v good for a first time fitasc shoot!
Hopefully they might put on another but somehow I doubt it.

Anyone know what the entry looks like for the coniston fitasc in Oct?
Considering entering but as a first time fitasc shooter don't want to be on a squad of england team members!
Also, what is the entry cost? ( I'm assuming about £450?!!)
-
Indeed, they seem to be jinxed, hope they find somewhere else.

Just heard that BGC will close at there 'new' ground at Ringley? If so very disappointing and haven't been there yet! They seem to be having a bit of a hard time after the A6 debacle.
Anyone know if this is true?

I'd be happy to take you around Blackpool if ever you fancy it. Just let me know or send me a message. I live in Longridge but shoot all over north and midlands. Best of luck.

Why only 30 birds Mal?

Blackpool is a great ground for tough sporting practice. A real ground for sporting enthusiasts with targets that need thinking about. Hope if doesn't go soft.

The facilities are good and the staff friendly but for me it is a ground that is underused. They have recently invested in new skeet and dtl layouts but they are usually empty when Ive visited, begs the question why? It is a ground geared to the local membership and hence registered competitions are not encouraged and sefinately discouraged if you are a sporting fan. Seems to me they could do so much more with it.
