just a thought, 15ft or even 17ft rods are becoming more common. they give more control and make life a lot easier.
i'd also use braid (personal preference is fireline) as it floats.
these guys make some very nice rods, but they cost a bit!

Hi Richard, I'm in the same position as you and live in Exeter. Devon & Cornwall Police are quoting 12 weeks for a new SGC approval. They received my application on 11th Jan and I'm having the home visit on 17th Feb.
Cheers

My parents live in Cyprus and I have been going there all my life. Unfortunately, it has become quite over-developed in the last few years, especially along the coast and prices are now comparable with the UK. If you went, I'm sure you would have a good time, but there are nicer places.

For me No for most reasons. We are messing with nature too much, What happened to survival of the fittest?
was going to reply to that, but i think this says it all:
I'm totally FOR animal testing, at least until we canuse the lowlife prisoners as already suggested here, and in countless other debates on the same subject.
Jack, my son, is 12 years old. He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is a muscle wasting disease that has no cure at the present. He can no longer walk and within the next few years he will lose the fight against this horrible disease.
The only hope for the next generation of boys is the research being done on mice, literally as we speak: a cure is within reach, but because of objections (and lack of funding) the animal research programme has been delayed.
If this was your kid, would you put the life of animals before him, saying 'thats the way it is' ?
Selection of the fittest? Thats an insult to all the people who are fighting disability !

Egyptian contacts say it's business as usual in the Red Sea resorts (so far).

A quick hello from a new member based in Exeter. Planning to start shooting again after a 20 year (!) break. Was something I've been planning for a while, but a health problem has temporarily stopped me from pursuing my main interest which is SCUBA diving, so now seems like the right time.
I grew up shooting with my dad, mainly rabbits and pigeons and have been out with friends a couple of times since. In the process of getting a shotgun certificate, the next stage is finding somewhere to shoot - any help with that appreciated
All the best
Andrew
