well its finally arrived ...got my shotgun certificate today and to say im pleased would be a f....n understatement..thanks to all of you who gave me advice and support at the beginning honesty paid off with humberside police i cant fault them..cheers guys

yes i see it all the time when i introduce the .22 to them........strange innit

you could also place a few hides around ive used old oil drums n pallets before you can crawl between them and get in range one every 60 yards or so in and around the hotspots bit labour intesive but it works for me....oh yes check with landowner first

lol seen them was laughing today they was roaring allover the place..shame to zap em going to take my vid cam n show the kids

i use the tree method they come in then veer of into the tree to check out the decoys....had more out the tree than ever off the ground ..if they do land they spot any movement however slight against your back screen so spend time to block out any see through chinks of light in your hide good luck

does anyone know seen or heard of rabbits jumping across small ditches ???had one run down a bank abour 6ft with water about 2-3ft wide n up other side n away......dont know for sure if same one but couldnt find any bolt holes for around 10ft on my side ..............strange and has left me wondering...

sorry to dissapoint you dougal 6 month for common assault is what ive got or do you really think id try to put it down on the form ?why would i pay for my own police check ?....so you say people who make a mistake 25 years ago are never to be trusted....ive two sp30s should i be banned from driving ???as for common assault charges look it up....grabbing a persons arm without there approval is a offence if reported..the time spent for the common assault was served on remand not as a convicted prisoner...7 months for the record i served on remand ...ive managed to resist the urge to run around my local clay and farm shoots without killing or harming anyone...as i said i respect your opinion but i assure you i am not a violent thug and several freinds who i clay with have...shall we say colourful pasts..

what i was saying dougal is when i was 17 i hit a copper 3 months i had a fight in a pub when 20 got 6 months wich i did on remand on the rehabilitation forms it all expires after 10 years but is still on file .. on the form it asks for previous addresses.... had 3 in last 14 years havnt been in no trouble since 1985 to presesent other than 2 sp30s speeding...been shooting for 30 years with air weapons n never had an accident or issue i regularly shoot around farms horses n stables ....so thanks mate but i wont be needing your water pistol..

common assault 25 years ago n i hit a copper 26 years ago got a 6 month n 3 month sentance been out of bother for over 20 year other than 2 speeding fines

thats the reason ive sent for my police check........dont want to miss out n be refused mate

am thinking of applying for my shotgun licence been a bit of bother when i was younger nothing heavy been in no bother for over 14 years other than 2 sp30s over 5 years ago...can the police refuse me and if so can i object or apeal this discisuion..have sent for a police check so i can be honest and not leave anything off my form...would welcome any advice cheers

i set up a few old pallets along the edges of one of my shoots several hotspots can be coverd i also lie along the hedge bottoms n snipe them when several are out ...sometimes get one then another as it pauses infront of the burrow...walk slowly with wind in front of you and youll be suprised how close you can get...also i avoid after shave n deoderant before i go shooting when you walk they can sense the vibrations in the ground so slow careful is the way ...good luck

theres plenty of woodies here......but there all sat on street lights lol.....going again tomorrow so we shall see.........

went to local farm today ..pigeons were every where but none landed in range.....checked wind. hide n decoys....face veiled total camo n rifle wrapped in scrim scarf...total fail got two rabbits tho but had puffy eyes so left them in hedge for mr fox still theres always tomorrow lol
