  1. Percy Posh Paws(Seb) and I will be at Worsley tomorrow at about 3 if anyone wants to join us for a couple of rounds of ESP. Phil & Seb
  2. Just back form Worsley, We shot round with Auntie who is a top top lady and bumped into some familiar faces that we are starting to get to know. Seb (Percy Posh Paws) shot is best ever score at a 100 sporting comp, so thanks must go to Brian (Beretta)off the site for the help and lesson mid week it made all the difference, the little man was made up because he did shoot well cleaning a 5 simo pair stand and close on a few others just dropping the odd bird, but more important he beat me again. I expect that the opinions will vary but we found the course really good lots of different targets and very well run with just one hold up at the high driven. the refs were excellent and all credit to Worsley well done. Phil
  3. Seb and I will be there having a go and we are looking to rag along with someone rather than billy no mates wondering around if anybody mines us joining them.. Phil
  4. Seb and I had booked a full day with Brian at Fauxdegla. We have been really looking forward to today, and on arrival the weather was good and Brian broke the day up with brews nicely. After a quick brew off we went to the skeet range for Brain to have a look at us shoot, it don't take long for Brian to start and point out where we need to improve and areas that need to be worked on. We then went onto the sporting layout which allowed Brian to watch and help with bird pick up points some of the flight lines, where it is best to shoot a Bird and the reasons why. Brain quickly spotted Seb has issues with flicking through a bird just when he is about to shoot which we would never of realised or seen. Regards to myself I have a number of issues but the main ones are, pick a point to shoot the birds and stick to it allowing me to adjust lead etc at the one point. There were loads of other pointers and advise today and they all sound so simple and obvious but you just don't think or see them. The day went really quickly and we both got loads out of it and plenty to work on. RABBITS bloody RABBITS. We spend plenty on shooting but this is the best £*** I have ever spent. Brian knows is onions and as a great way of getting it across. Thanks Brian Phil and Seb

  7. Hi, Back to earth with a big bang, had been improving with my best ever 100 sporting score at Kelbrook 82, I found this really hard but enjoyed trying, even with my new contacts in struggled to find the targets old eyes, and not being used to sport trap I struggleed losing where they were coming from but its the same for everyone, Seb (Percy Posh Paws) faired really well and is pleased with is score beating my by 15 which he is reminding me of on a regular basis, Auntie and Shaun put together goods scores shooting well. It was good to see some of the sites faces there supporting hope we had a winner in amongst us. Regards Phil & Seb

Had a quick run round some stands of sporting and then met up with NickT and then off to the two sport trap layouts. Having never been there before we found it well maintained and the sport trap lay outs testing and very different, regards to target presentation on the sport trap and sporting layouts enjoyable shame I couldnt do them more justice, All who we came across were extermely friendly and helpful. and thanks to NickT for taking the time to show us round Our squad of Timps and a couple of guys sorry didnt pick your names up but Nick did say they come on PW shot well with timps starring with an excellent score and was leading when we left. So Thank for making us welcome Phil & Seb

  16. Hi Auntie, for me 65/100 beating Seb for the first time in a while, he had a bit of an off day but he still sticks at it and he as time on his side. Take out the rabbits and a couple of the other stands where I completely made a bit of a pigs ear then the score might have been a bit better for me but thats shooting and very enjoyable. Phil & Seb

  21. Seb and I spent 5 hours getting very red in the sun in good company, watching some very good shooting on what people were saying was a very good course but tricky, We went round with Lyn,Nick,Scott and Dave off the site thanks for letting us join you, Nick came out on topped in our group. shooting well winning B Class, those bloody rabbits Nick!, Came across Mr Potter in good form shooting well. With regards Seb and myself. I was a tale of two halfs very poor to start, the second half better and pleased with a couple of stands so the learning process goes on, I need to loose the nerves, Im terrible but I will beat it. Despite all that I do enjoy the company and crack its not all about shooting!. Seb shot really well and is starting to pick this clay shooting business up quickly totally thrasted me today, on the way back I heard a little voice "Dad your cleaning the guns". I dont mind he was beaming when left and Nick hes still beaming now. All in all a great day, credit to Coniston for putting on an aray of targets that varried and covered all. Phil and Seb
  22. Well what can I say, I read this and fell hook line and sinker, what makes it worse is I have been playing the April 1st thing on everybody with some great results I love it. You totally got me with this one, Even tryed to phone Michelle to see if she had done something on my behalf because she goes on the site for a look under my log on. I will forfill your expectations I suspose Seb and I will have to do the North South PW comp now. is it to late to book. Just one other thing what goes around comes around and he who laugh’s last laugh’s longest. Mr Truter Phil
  23. Just back from Catton Hall, both Seb and I will be looking forward to the next shoot there. Seb had been beating me at Coniston lately and was in front most of the time at Catton today but I managed to pip Seb at the end by four, more luck than management. But Seb posted is best score of his first 5 Reg Comps and was well pleased. and wanted to go somewhere else and do another 100 bird sporting. We have to say a special thansk to Mr Potter (Andy) for meeting us and taking us round, but more so for the help and advice Andy gave Seb and myself when we were struggling. It was good to see NickT and his mates starting as we finished,we watched the stands below the club and Nick seemed to bring the good form from kingsley. once again thanks Mr Potter and look forward to seeing you again soon. Seb, Michelle,Casca and Phil
  24. Thanks Mr Potter, Our group posted some good scores, We enjoyed watching some very good shots in action, If I recall you were on fire Quote Alan, I did notice one thing were you using Eley superbs mainly and and for closer targets Olimpics. You are right about Seb being top shot soon, on the compak at Coniston where Seb asgot the measure of the lead and familiar with the targets we are neck and neck 15 - 18 out of 25 Once again thanks for your company and hope to see you soon. Seb, Michelle & Phil
