  1. i have a single 12g cartridge which is full brass case with rolled top, stampen with Ely London i will have a look through all the other boxes and see what i can find. steve, norfolk

  3. i was fishing the tweed 2 weeks ago on sprouston beat. one evening we had supper with a gillie from a beat nearer coldstream who was telling us about the pacific hump back salmon that had been netted up at berwick. he recalls its not the first to be netted on the river. steve

  8. hi there mate. thanks for the advice on the sussex. any tips and advice is a great help i'd rather be pointed in the right direction rat5he than find i'm doing it wrong and endup spoiling a good pup for no one but @yself to blame tbh i'm pretty much a novice when it comes to wor4ing dogs. i've always been around working dogs but its only now starting to take hold of me. its great working the young cocker, he really is full of energy

  10. morning to all, thought its about time i said hello. i'm from norfolk, i have a sussex spaniel and a cocker spaniel, both are great, my father has alwways had working dogs and i thought its about time i had a go, my cocker is great to work, hes quite keen and a great little worker, loves brambles, the thicker the better. i've been shooting for many years now since i started with a 28g when i was a young child, i now shoot a 12g braybrook, lovely little gun, in a fited case, its also fully left handed and bored for driven game. my father shot 147 pigeons a couple of weeks ago on some maize stubbble, a cracking afernoons sport great forum, wish i'd found it ages ago many thanks stephen

  12. great to see another sussex. i've recently got a sussex from william cadwell. she's a little stunner. shes only now about 16 weeks but we have fun with good ole knotted socks and she loves to play with my 14 month cocker. i'll try any upload some photos tomorrow.

  14. yes thats right. norwich appeared to have a few gun makers back in the hey day. my grandfather had a pair of boss 16g but sadly were sold many years ago. my father is currently having a gun built by Mr Louca at Watson Bros of london. i'd be interested to find some history about S. Braybrook as it was a local maker to me. steve
  15. hi. i also shoot a braybrook. its a little different as it was built for a local chap in the fens. it is in a fitted hard case. box lock ejector. fully left handed and bored for driven game. a real pretty gun. it is quite an old gun to. but still with most of its colour and action is hardy worn it. lovely little gun.
  16. hi there. i'm pretty new to the forum and new to the area. i've been shooting with my father for about 20 yrs now. i've recently moved to scarning and was intrested in finding a little shooting in the area. any help would be muchly appreciated. father shot 147 pigeons on a bit of maize stubble 2 weeks ago. one of thoes days where everything fell right. many thanks stephen
