  1. video uploading of a few bucks i have here. sadly i paused the video today as i was tiring waiting for the buck to turn, he did suddenly and was on the grass before i could hit the rec button.
  2. saw some real crackers this morning but sid just wanted a smaller deer for his first. Any way almost done and we saw this fellow nerly back at the truck. Pheww! A great shot off sticks @ 125m's which he took before i could press the record button. Have some footge before the shot just paused it to allow the deer chance to go broadside and he did bang and it was done.
  3. yes buddy, very tall and narrow antlers around here. some have enough weight to go medal but not many. we often get long brow and back tines also.

  9. Alex mate as you saw in the video it was an easy choice as she was a young barren doe.
  10. Well i had seen this doe about a month ago and tried 3-4 times for a shot at her from the box she was near. Anyway on the way in last night with a client (a complete novice and rifle man(other then airguns) he had done well on the steel cut out but not that well) she was already out some 30m's from the box. We had no way of getting close enough for him to shoot so I explained why i must take the rifle and perform the deed. He was happy with this and i left him some 175m's from where she was feeding. I took my estate rifle from him and walked towards her accross the field. She wasn't aware of me and i made about another 25m's on her. I knelt down and readied myself on the sticks i dialed in 150m's on the scope and took the shot making perfect H/L shot she jumped and ran about 30m's before expiring. As it was still early We still went and sat in the box and later we had 2 does come out and feed but no bucks showed which was a shame as there are 2 known in that area.

  17. What PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHH you claim to be doing the country a service killing foxes which have NO close season and then allow them the chance to rear a litter. If your stomach cannot stand the thought you have been in the wrong job. Foxes have no season like rats. Do you kill doe rats with your terriers as they can orphan youngsters anytime as they breed all year round. Or shoot doe rabbits in the warmer months (though they can leave kits anytime of the year also). Listening to hypocrits like this make my blood boil.....
  18. well done les they will all take eggs at this time of year.
