Got into shooting a few years by chance from having a go with an old air rifle and been hooked ever since!

Other hobbies include: fishing, gym, football, squash and kite boarding.
  1. Hello all. I have been given an in test divers bottle, its 9ltrs and says 'for breathing pressure use 207bar' but underneath that it says 'max pressure 270bar' does this mean it could fill it up to 254 bar but the tested pressure is 207bar. Obviously i am not taking chances with compressed air and could get the bottle tested again to 254 bar if this is the case (and if it makes sense economically) From using chair guns 'FillCalc' it says i will get 29 full fills of my rifle at 2500psi (the recommended pressure for the rifle) from my bottle at 207bar. Does this sound about right? I know a lot of you will say get a 300bar bottle as you will get far many more fills but the guy who has given me this bottle can fill it up for free so refills for the bottle are not a problem at all. All it needs is a din type fitting complete with guage, bleed valve and hose. I have seen these for around about £55, is this a good price or can they be found cheaper anywhere else? Thanks lads
  2. aside from the guns it has to be my car http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10451621&l=c35e0613de&id=814290363
  3. Went last year with the lads. Aside from the already mentioned gunclub and stratosphere give this place a look if your into that sort of thing; http://www.sincityskydiving.com Best thing i have ever done in my life!
  4. The cocking action from the bolt is the smoothest bolt i have ever used, its a pleasure to use! I only have the mk1 and would love this, just cant justify the purchase! Whoever will buy this wont regret it
  5. Id like to have a nice .22lr &.17hmr set up but i couldnt justify it with the permission i have, there is little ground vermin about aside from the odd hare so its mostly devoying. When i gain more permission (only 200 acres at present) i will look into applying though
  6. The hares are all brown hares. Ill be getting as close as possible, went with the dog the other day for a walk around and due to the snow i could see a mile off where they were, i managed to get within 20 yards of two. Lets hope i can do the same with the gun in hand. Are you sure 32's will be fine, if say at 40 yards would the pattern be good enough?
  7. Hi all, been asked to cull a few hares on some permission. I normally use 32g 5's on rabbits, would these be ok for hares or should i go for a harder hitting cart, maybe 36g 4's? The gun is chambered for 2.3/4inch.
  8. Hi Vinny, I live in Tibshelf near Alfreton/Chesterfield and work in Mansfield so you are pretty local. Where did you go for your first shoot? PM me when you are next thinking of going where/when and if im free ill come along, youd be welcome to use my gun. I wouldnt say im a good enough shot to help teach as id probably pass on bad habbits so get a few lessons on the xmas list
  9. You still into kiting Phil? Few of my mates are sponsered by PANSH, i myself am more of a kiteboarder than buggier but cant get enough of it! Will you be at any events next year?
  10. just checked the website and either the prices have gone up or its more to book online (?) Still, you will have an ace time im sure!
