My great great uncle Enezezelo Bongani, survived Rourkes Drift and lived on until 48yrs old as a goat herder
Was he camping in the next field and didn't hear the noise !
On a serious note - superb film that showed quantity over quality does sometimes go hand in hand.

Can't believe this thread has gone this long without the story of -
the Great Great Uncle who died at the battle of Rourkes Drift

There's always cracking deals on second hand FAC shotguns -
take your time and you will find one as good as new for way cheaper money than new.

The BBC and old style TV is surely dead these days? There was more quality to watch on TV at Christmas when we had 4 channels than now we have 400
Yes - it was like Christmas telly was special when there were just the 3 and then 4 channels when I was a kid.
Now the main channels repeat things more often and even with all the channels these days I still end up reading !

Cheers I thought it was just a library photo that confused me.Without tube they take 4+1 cartridges of over 70mm and 5+1 of 70mm and shorter.

So what does a standard non crimped mag tube hold then, maybe 4?

Looks standard 1+2 in the photo?

Sorry, in the posted link quite a way down the page they come up with the idea of stickers telling people how bad their parking is.Anyone know what the red bit refers to?
The first one has spelling errors so they post a supposed corrected one with an apology - but ithey still spell biscuit wrongly.
Just my OCD flaring up !
Cheers.
Just noticed though that the link has been pulled due to the name of the site and its content.
Ah well, now it doesn't make sense !
-
People with way too much time on their hands - some were funny.
The best post is the 'planned stickers and notices' the first attempt has spelling mistakes including 'biscuit' being spelt wrong, then an apology posted for the mistakes, but with 'biscuit' still spelt wrong !
As for the original post of the chap shopping - I am still amazed by the amount (thankfully not blokes) of onesie wearing shoppers I see - just wrong apart from the 6 young ladies I saw recently at Norton Cane services on their way back from a hen party.

All the CNC machinery and laser cutters must have been on thier annual maintenance day.
Mass produced does not equal quality - sadly.

Plus what length barrel?

These are meant to be good;

I've played with one on a proper M4, however it wasn't the best choice at 300m!
I'm interested in a 'better' quality red dot sight myself and these look pretty good and not too expensive.
The question I have is if the quality of the actual dot cost related?
The couple I have currenty were both under £50 each and they are good for what I use them for.
My only criticism is that the actual dot is fuzzy around the edge and not pin sharp - one is 3 moa and the other 4 moa.
Is the dot superior on a more expensive sight or is that just how they all are?
Cheers.

I know a furniture restorer in Lincoln that uses nothing but soda to strip furniture - especially intricate carvings and mouldings.
He's only got a basic set up made by Miller or someone like that (they are bright orange)
Ebay sell various ones for DIY - just make sure you buy decent soda as the cheap stuff clogs the machine.
You can also get Sealey ones for the same money if there is a stockist near you.
They use the same amount of air as a grit blaster (basically same thing) so bigger the compressor the better, but you can get by if you have14 cfm (FAD). All depends on how quick you want to work with regards the compressor size - you could always hire one for a weekend and buy the blaster.
Play around a little if you do buy one - I have tried one and they are very good for control and results.
Check YouTube out for furniture and all sorts being soda blasted.

After you have dipped it and get to the clearcoat stage unless you have spraying knowledge and equipment then go to your local car paint suppliers and you can get aerosols of 2k lacquer that will provide the best durable finish - just decide on gloss or semi gloss.

And who said it has to go bang to be fun - brilliant !
