  1. Unmarked, as new condition on VodaFone.
No box, but comes with charger and lead.

Looking for £125 posted securely or F2F

And just to repeat - this phone has no marks anywhere on it as it has been in an otterbox defender case for its entire life.

PM if you want a photo.

    Thanks for reading.

PS - forgot to say if you want the otterbox with it, then you can for free (it's in good condition).

  2. In theory yes you can but aerial coax is lower quality than satellite coax (and cheaper) Sat coax is Foam filled copper over copper aerial is airspace and can vary from copper over copper to alu over copper or alu over cca which is nasty cheapo stuff.

Of course you need to align the dish If you only have one TV/STB and the feed is direct from roof (south facing) to box/TV then should be ok if aerial feeds multipe TV's then its different wiring design required

I thought this might be the case and the linked article makes sense.

    Many thanks for the help.

You don't get the same channels as with Freeview. It's a poorer selection in my view.

I did not realise this so will check what's available.

    cheers.

  3. I'm wanting to go from from freeview to freesat tv.

Am I right in thinking that I can just swap the aerial for a dish, and the connector at the tv end to an 'F' type connector but still use the existing (in the wall) cable. The cable is only 12 months old by the way if that makes any difference.

    Any help appreciated.

  4. The 6 still doesn't look as big as the S4

The screen certainly isn't as big, although its bigger than the 4s

Bro in law got his on Saturday,

I have the 4s and the first thing I noticed was how much lighter it was than the 4s

But still not going to ios8, I think it's aimed at the newer faster iPhones

    :shaun:

Has he managed to bend his 6 yet ?

Cracking videos doing the rounds - great advert for Apple (not) !

  5. Which models?

3G 32gb full size iPads - we have them for work.

Prior to os8 update mine had never skipped a beat and mobile internet had always been very reliable.

The other guys report the same thing and are all over the UK so seems too much of a coincidence not to be linked?

  6. My iPad and 2 colleagues keep losing mobile network connection.

Top left corner just says 'No Service' and you have to reboot, then all good for 1 to 4 hours and then same again.

This has happend several times now even in the house where signal is always full strength.

    Anyone else had this?

  7. Another vote for BG Homeserve -

Had them out several times over the last 10 years and always fast, reliable service.

We have boiler, controls, pipes and rads covered for around £20 per month.

Last job done was new heat exchanger with power flush which would have been around £600 if we had paid !

  8. My Harkila's have them - I think they are vibram fire and ice soles?

Absolutely brilliant in all conditions is my experience of them.

I think my Salomans use them as well and again brilliant all round.

Like others have said there are several versions / qualities as you see vibram soles on footwear ranging from £20 to £200 plus.

  9. Someone with a decent bandsaw is what you need - cuts acrylic brilliantly.

I used to work at a place where we made covers, windows, cases and all sorts.

You would not believe the amount of rally car replacement windows I've done.

If you do go the DIY route then eBay is the place for the raw material -

You might even find someone local on there that will do the whole thing for you, for a price.

  10. If you're painting straight onto glass then do a search for an industrial paint supplier.

Self etch glass paint is readily available - most common use is on kitchen splash backs where they use glass rather than ceramic tiles.

Just remember to paint the inside of the window for ease of cleaning etc.

  11. This did the rounds some time ago. Apparently,as long as the first and last letter of each word are in the correct place then the brain unscrambles the word instantly, making it legible.

So could you read it, as you have answered with the same explanation as written in the original post ;)

    It's very clever stuff mind.

  12. You need a groundworker who has a highways licence. You also need permission from the highways authority to remove and lower an adopted kerb or to make an access way off an adopted road across a footway. When you make your application ask for a list of licence holders in your vicinity.Advice.....Don't do it without getting the proper permits in place first... someone will complain and you will be fined, and asked to return the kerb to its original line even if you subsequently get permission.

    Sound advice - appreciated.

  13. I had mine lowered about a year ago - three normal and two sloped, all lowered to road level. Local authority did it in a day and it cost me just over 800 quid if I recall correctly.

    Cheers 4eyes.
