  1. the sound of my delkim alarms going into a full on run when carp fishing.
  2. the new collars will work with the old boxes but not the other way around
  3. I will stand to be corrected but I read somewhere that the boxes were the same just the sticker (availible off fleabay) seperated the two and it was the collars that where different. Don't mock me if I'm wrong just letting you know what ive read. ATB Alex.
  4. Hi All, Just a quick note to introduce you all to my new dog. He's a 6 month old bedlington whippet X got him off a lad in Stoke. Apart from weeing on the back seat of the car on the way home and a few mistakes in the house he seems to be settling in well and gets on great with our other dog, missus and kids! Result!
  5. Still think 6 months is a bit harsh. personaly think it wouldnt make a blind bit of difference if someone wanted to rip someone off, A friend of mine i had known all my life ripped me off for fifty quid wouldnt it be a better system if you were recomended?? some how ebay linked to prove your worthy-ness, paypal linked for insurance?? Just puts people like myself that has no intention in ripping off anyone. rant over!
  6. Hiya peeps. Just fitted a Hushpower 9" Moderator to my 410 and after my first cart think what the hell have I done? Ive followed the instructions as to the fitting and had an engineering show cut the bush to suit my tapered barrel. The bush fits close to the end of the muzzle etc but like I said just seems as loud as an un-moderated 410. I was just wonering if anyone has the same mod as inside the mod it seems too empty to be an efficient moderator (no wadding or drilled tubes just a few baffles in the end) Any feedback will help me in my quest for a better gun for the lamp. Thanks Guys. Al
  7. Thanks frenchie, your welcome to drop me a P.M and show me how its done if you like. Would welcome as much input and help as I can get so I too can become like an expert like some of them off this forum. Like you say, I am shooting for the pot because if your not you may as well just clear pests and shoot clays!
  8. Nice car that mate! whats happened to the old disco? is it for sale?
  9. Great post with some good photos.
  10. Thanks for the positive replies! My thoughts entirely Zap. I'm sure if the posters that have "had a go" would have posted a piece of advice in my other threads maybe I would have known.
  11. Thanks Fud, didn't know I was going to upset soooooo many people with my post. I did put up a post requesting a trip out with anyone to educate me and thank god for the nice chap that took me for a wander around his permission last Sunday. Just wasn't told that it was illegal to shoot a pheasant off the floor!!! I was also warned about some of the comments you are to expect from a forum full of experts. Read my other posts before you send out the lynch mob! I've asked for advice and asked questions regarding shooting etc. So don't get frustrated if someone makes a minor etiquette mistake............we all have to learn!
  12. Maybe I will get more satisfaction from one in flight like you said, but as it was my first time out I was just glad to come away with a brace of Pheasants. Well as the tenants have said its OK with them I will just get the owner to sign my permission slip, Just to stay above board so to speak. Thanks for the reply.
  13. Why? don't tell me "It's un-sporting like" it looks pretty good in my fridge ready for the oven than off into the wilderness
  14. Went for a walk around some new permission I've been given yesterday and at the first one noticed a few Pheaseant running out of some bushes so I loaded up and carried on mooching after a short walk past some good warrens headed upto a small wooded area and could see a cock and about four hens scattering in amoungst the trees so I had a shot and bagged myself a cock. First kill with my new shotty so I was well made up After calling at the house to see if the land owners would like the bird (to say thanks for the permission) but was told I could keep it Driving off the land I noticed another cock so quickly but quietly got into the boot and grabbed the gun out of the slip loaded up and took a shot and got him. 2-nil Went to the next permission a few miles down the road to just show my face and get shown around and boy is it a great bit of land too! Its got the lot woods, ponds, crops and about three differnt farm yards where I can park up. Will need to do some serious reccy work here but I can see there is a big problem with rabbits and crows. Just a shame the land owner wasnt in to sign my permission form. BTW. as the land owner rents out most of the farms will I be OK to just get his details on my form for the right to shoot or will I need the current tennents also?
