  1. Try RWS hobby, they are lighter and give you a bit more power and a flatter trajectory, just avoid them for long range when it's a bit blowy. They are a wadcutter shape so cut perfect clean holes everytime, ideal for your needs. I've used them hunting and they always perform well.
  2. Tell him to P*** off. If he can't afford to buy new then he can't have new condition. Give it a week and he'll ding it himself.. he sounds like an idiot!
  3. The Monkey Tree is alright. About a mile out though.
  4. Excellent, but what's with the advertisement at the beginning. BBC?
  5. First Weihrauch should be the 95k!

    hw97k

I suggest you buy that then. You won't find many secondhand. When buying FAC rated air rifles most go for PCP. There are plenty of FAC rated HW80 around, some with a Theoben Gas Ram at around 22ft/lb. To be honest i wouldn't bother with an FAC springer. Recoiless PCP is the way to go.

You'll be lucky to find a 97k in FAC, especially one that has been tuned properly. Expect to pay a lot!
  8. I've ridden home with a bag 0f 15 rabbits tied to the back of the bike before. It's hard work keeping the front wheel on the ground. As for bikes i really miss riding one. You really have to expect a car to come flying around every corner though (half the time your right). Plus it's not much fun riding in the rain unless your on your way home. There is nothing better than cruising on a hot summers day though.

    Quad

What about carrying lots of equipment? If you were using a hide and such? taz I don't shoot form a hide. Most of my hunting is done from either a static location ie a rabbit warren at a distance or fox calling, or stalking. I've used a quad to have a look around and study areas for activity and found that it seemed to disturb everything (even a four stroke). They're good fun though and if your pigeon shooting from a hide they would be very useful.
  10. I can't get over the cartridge size! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H00gshZW9Po

  12. Here's the Turkey call! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldjwe5UUlwc And the duck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZG0RS3mVBc...feature=related
  13. No pigeons but there are plenty of other things to shoot. Plenty of Deer and most famous of all Tahr. I think i'd manage without Pigeons if i lived there. LG I went fishing up on the Murray last easter and had a great time pulling in the cod, i didn't manage any new records with the cod but caught a fairly large Golden Perch who put up quite a fight. It was a great week none the less. Perhaps once I get there and settled in I can join you on a trip out then??? I can shout the beers n the BBQ Sounds good! I haven't seen much of Australia yet. Just Victoria and the Murray River which is technically NSW (just). Maybe we could meet half way? Your up in QLD aren't you?
  14. :o You've reminded me of a video i've seen on Youtube. Search Turkey call, or something like that. They fit duck calls as well. Crazy yanks!

  19. Steve B, There is a picture of his gun in his post which is definitely a rimfire. He has gone rather quiet after charts appeared! Edit: Hopefully this means he won't make a shot that is sooo stupid again or realised he can't fool people with lies.
  20. Why not knock on the doors of any near by farms and they'll probably know, or start an argument over who really owns it like a friend did in Cornwall.
  21. I may be wrong but i think you can find out through the land registry.
  22. Thanks Dunganick, I shall post that and see what he has to say!
  23. Some idiot over on the SniperCentral Forum claims to have shot a Badger from .302 yds. "this is with a skull of a Badger i took at 302 yards(my farthest shot with this little guy)...i know that isnt far but for a .22 it took seriously a good 4-5 secs to hit work done was glass bed and trigger, thats it". He doesn't say whether it's a .22lr or Magnum. Out of interest what sort of hold over would you expect at have at 302yds, i'd love to send him a graph!
