  1. Yeah! I take it you've never caught an episode of "Bindi the jungle girl". Have a look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wLgnQ9TqAQ...feature=related
  2. If it's only light surface rust then I'd just use an oiled cloth and buff away. It may tak a bit longer but you won't remove any blueing.
  3. Malkiserow, a question for you. In China the internet is closely computer monitered and information is blocked regarding a lot of subjects. So how can our chinese friend access a hunting forum overseas? Anything remotely close to war or guns is strictly forbidden. Apparently during the Olympics the blocks will be removed for the first time and the Chinese will be able to acess the whole of the internet until the Olympics finishes.
  4. I watched a program about wreck divers who look for treasure etc and they were using the mixed gases. They could stay down for over an hour at a time. Crazy!
  5. On closer inspection they're not attached. I'm thinking of some different ones.
  6. Here they are. http://www.chuckhawks.com/steady_stix.htm
  7. I think you can get shooting sticks which are folded up underneath the rifle and dropped when necessary, they unfold and lock into place on their own. A bit like those tent poles with the cord running through them.
  8. I avoid ANY movie with Meryl Streep in it! I can't stand her!
  9. Welcome jackson Where abouts in Vic are you?
  10. Most of th guys usea tin button whistle hear so that's what i bought first for about $1. I then moved on to a tenterfield whistle for a louder call to a wider area. Had great success with both.
  11. I have always been taught that stuffing a game bird is a no no. It dries the meat. Saying that i would imagine that as long as your stuffing mixture is moist it shouldn't make a difference. So my whole post was a waste of time really but never mind.
  12. A gun shop that recommends an air pistol?
  13. Only problem with using mouthwashes and toothpastes that contain anesthetics is that you can't feel the pain of the toothache and may continue without knowing the damage being caused in your mouth. Apparently dentists often have to pull teeth that could have been saved with a small filling a month or two earlier. Sensodyne toothpaste is one of the main culprits. As a short term solution though i reckon they are fine. Just make sure you get them checked out. I feel for you myzeneye, there's nothing quite as bad as toothache. Maybe try another dentist.
  14. What about barrels? Says he with the WSSM.
  15. Still, recommend a springer as a first rifle. snipper maybe it's time for a Venom tune, you know you want to.
  16. Well snipper I've never shot one so i can't comment and I don't deny they may be capable of that. They just seem a bit of a rip off when it comes to CO2 compared to spring. Do you use a shoulder stock type add on? Call me a traditionalist but i like a nice piece of wood under my arm pit, personal preference.
  17. I've always been hoping for boys in the future, you've put me at ease.
  18. Sadly i agree with you taz24, Ican even picture her drinking wine at her next dinner party with her friends from the big smoke. All sat around discussing the response and laughing. "Ha ha ha! SNORT Ha Ha Ha! Oh Lizzy"
  19. No, work at the same hole to ensure grouping, then after about 4 shots cover the new holes with tape and start again until your happy! I know what you mean. Cheers mate.
  20. "ok its not as nice as my tuned hw77k " are they even comparable. lol Save your money and buy a good secondhand springer. You can get a good set up rifle, scope and mounts for £180-200. I'm sure some on here have had some results with the ratcatcher but they are essentially a toy plinker (and I don't care what mods you can do as they still can't compete on accuracy).
  21. I don't think you can. They still have some recoil, you can get away with leaning on trees and fence post etc as you still have some give. I really don't think a bipod is necessary on any air rifle apart from high power FAC pcp. If you can't hit something at 30yds offhand then you need a lot more practice. I'm not having a dig, save your money.
  22. Thanks dangermouse, i like your idea for zeroing, I guess each time you make a hole a knew dot of light appears and you work from that. As for the add ons I'm a bit scepticle of them. You could spend £2000 and then it'll only be as good as the optics your running the light through so to make the most of it you'd need some top range optics for the scope as well more ££££.
  23. Thanks Hodmedod.one i'll give it a try. I haven't been on there for a long time. Probably can't even remeber my login details. Shame.LOL
