  3. Need some help if anyone is in the know. Just in the progress of moving alarm pir sensor and when connected it's setting the alarm off, tamper circuit is ok. When the sensor is disconnect the system is fine. Only have one pir on the system and one door connector. I'm not sure if to do with these "jumpers" in the pir sensor is causing the problem. Not sure what they do or how they were connected, one is labeled memory and the other p count. Can anyone shed light on what jumper goes where ? And if they cover two wires horizontally or vertically ? TIA. The system is a wired system and yes does go in tamper mode when taking apart but, these jumper things fell out when moving the sensor. So not sure what they do or if they could be causing such a fault.

  13. Think I need to. Will report back after seeing the gunsmiths :-)
  14. Somebody told me in would cost just under £1000 to get it re sleeved that's why I thought about scrapping. Does sound fairy high to me though ?
  15. Thanks for all replys, sorry about photos joys of not being able to resize photos on iPad. I think it may be gone to far and not worth the cost of re proofing ect so may just scrap rather then forking out on a unknown. Going to get a gunsmith to look at it in the week hopefully. Could try uploading bigger ones if it makes a difference ?. Case and bits all there snap caps, oil and grease tins, cleaning kit. Firing pin stopper. Look out on the guns for sale section soon may well be there lol.
  16. any body on here can shed any light on if this gun is worth anything I have not much info apart from its possibly dated from 1910 and was made in London by John rigby. It is all complete in case it's a 20 bore sbs ejector. I'm not sure it still can be used due to excessive pitting in bores see pics. Bore pics not very good quality though. What u guys think ?
  17. That's the stuff I think the guy showed me, it seemed to soft to me so dint really want to use it.
  18. Trouble is the back of the fire place is very large and not a standard size, it's a old farmhouse and needs the who back doing, dint want to put to many smaller bricks in incase the cement starts to crack prematurely. 19. The sides of the fire place is ok, just needed the back doing + as is not a small fire place I don't really want to replace the whole thing, was just seeing if anybody knows where to get large fire bricks from. Thanks
  20. I believe it is, he sourced it from a local heating shop, it comes in big boards that you cut down to required size.
  21. Wondering if any one has any knowledge of open fire places, basically the fire bricks at the back have cracked and worn away over a period of some years.the size at the back of the fire place is roughly 16" wide and 25" deep, I have been advised by a local bricky that this types/size of bricks are no longer used, he instead has shown me a fire board that is now used instead of bricks, my only worry about using this stuff that it is so soft & marked easily, it is not much harder than plaster board. My worry is it will not last and just break up and chip really easy with logs being thrown onto the fire ? Any ideas ?

I know for a fact vag group can without goin into to much detail, there are many tell tell signs as well as a notification that shows up in there dealer portal for that vehicle. Having said that a vehicle with say 130 ps re mapped to 170 or more the ancillaries fitted to that engine may not be able or designed to cope with the added stress and lessen the service life of the engine/gearbox/running gear, this is why they will not warrant any vehicle that has been remapped.

I am almost certain ecu remaps do effect warranty on newer vehicles especially if they re progarm Ecu's. most new car dealers have ways and diagnostic program's that can tell. Plug and play one may not so much as they can be removed at any point. I would recommend waiting until your warranty is up Especially on Vws.
  24. Size l would be perfered ...think that's 38-40chest ? Thanks
  25. Beatingisbest ...What shim did you use ...I only have the red and blue one and they both are to big causing the sear not to sit correctly......there is no shim in the front pin just a interference fit pin.
