  9. To clear up the interest, I pulled it from the safe... Barrels measure 27 3/4 inches muzzle to back of breach. Markings. "Sporting" on trigger guard. Selectable Trigger & Mobil chokes. Barrel same serial number as gun. Marked CAM 70 18.4 KG 1.450 18.4 rest look to be proof marks. Hope that helps. J
  10. Hi Vic, It uses the Beretta chokes with the screw on collar. It's got 1/4 in it and the spares are 1/2, 3/4 & FULL (according per the manual) Easy to change, think I have the tool in the shed if I dig it out. System works fine. I just used the cheapest 28g 71/2's - I think mostly Lyvale High velocity - tried it also on 24's and they also worked fine. Great bit of kit. Cheers, James
  11. Hi, the web says Sporters were multichoke from new - I got it used as a multichoke so cannot be sure how it came from the factory.
  12. I received exactly the same yesterday from Essex Police, temporary permits for my FAC & SGC - I guess we must be near each other in "The Pile".
  13. What you got to sell... not a MK5 Sten by any chance with that user name? Re-enactor should be able to produce a re-enactment group membership card, if not, not much else they can use as proof. I usually ask for e-mail confirming group membership, copy of group membership card and other photo ID.
  14. Just an idea regards 1 for 1 variation and caliber specifics - surely set ranges would be a better idea. IE, You would need a variation to exchange a 5.56 for a 7.92, but not to exchange a 7.62 for a 7.92. Sort of caliber "Banding" with a set list - your cert would say 8mm band, which includes say .303, 7.62, 7.92 etc. 6mm band, 5.56, .22 ctr fire, etc
  15. This worked for me - but I just taped a sheet of emery paper to a steel rod, so it hung off like a kids flag - roll up, bung in bush hole, turn on drill.... Pleanty of copper grease, chamfer the outer end of the bush, bash in with a drift...
  16. If we all ordered a bulk of leaflets etc each hopefully... A/ It'll clog up the system and stop actual "activists" receiving there bundle in time. B/ Cost them lots of money in postage etc. C/ Provide us all with some free paper for kindling, litter trays etc. Only problem I see is you may end up on a mailing list - may be worth getting sent to work... false name... etc. Just an idea.... You could even post them back to them in a box with short paid postage... which they would have to pay to receive...
  17. As it's a minimum price - items already over that like a pint in the pub or a good bottle of wine won't be affected - so I can't see it changing the price of anything I'd actually want to drink...
  18. I must admit to playing it sometimes myself - It's just digital LEGO, great fun to just build stuff to while away a wet afternoon and no risk of stepping on a brick in bare feet!
  19. Blimey - I feel like I should be wearing a white curly wig or something but here's something to think on. If you are that worried about declaring to the police something they already know - are you not a little too paranoid to have access to firearms anyway? It's all a bit "tin foil hat" for me this - bang it all down, no one ever complains about too much information - shows your honest!
