  1. yes I agree my Ranger could masquerade as a John Deere if I painted it green and yellow, to be fair though no real major issues unlike the L200 and the D22 google L200 problems and see how many hits there are !!!!! intergalactic, rangers by comparison have very few issues, they are great for towing also, get a mk 2 as they are prettier
  2. Dont buy post 2004 as they swapped engine production from Thailand to Taiwan or vice versa cant remember which and it was disastrous head failures etc anything before that is pretty bullet proof, however there is always the exception to the rule, but would be nervous of anything 54-55 plate, do what I did do your research and buy a Ford Ranger
  3. Hi already have if you look on gun watch and look at other items there it is, also here on pig watch but a few days ago Thanks anyway Rich
  4. Yes they are direct replacement but as previously mentioned make sure they re for a classic doubles gun and the same model as yours
  5. No no mods, safety stays off, glad to hear mine is not the only one
  6. Hi my Miroku MK38 has a rattle when you roll it side to side but only when the safety is off, does anybody else's do this? i guess all modern Miroku's and Brownings have the same action, the safety works fine so just wondering if they all do it
  7. Nikko (ohlin Japan) made guns under the Winchester brand, the Nikko is more than likely a Winchester 101 action, there are some real beauty Nikko's out there as it was suggested they kept the nice wood for their own guns taking into account they were a mid - budget range, the Nikko Shadow Indy's being the higher end, i have a shadow field gun 10mm rib 1/4 and 1/2 and i regularly out shoot expensive guns at clay , pigeon or game, if it suits dont change it, get it serviced , bore it 1/4 and 1/2 and be happy, cartridges now pattern a lot better than the 30 or so years ago when your gun was made and it is not a requirement to hive such a tight choke,

  9. Hi all, just getting back into clay shooting and wondered if there are any local cubs to Diss south Norfolk IP22 area, used to shoot Bury flying fortress but its now a housing estate, don't want to travel to far any ideas? Regards Richard
  10. Come on guys nothing wrong with making a profit or the RFD wont be there to sell you all the other stuff we need like cartridges etc, also the RFD has to sell under the sale of goods act which means the item has to be fit for purpose, i:e if you bought a gun and it doesn't work you can take it back and they will by law have to repair or refund, also if you buy without seeing it RFD to RFD you can call on the distance selling law, so a profit is only fair, if you don't like it the option is to but privately and suffer the potential problems, having said that most of my guns were bought privately
  11. I guess you mean 425 ( by the looks of your guns listed) a grade 1 spec new can be had for a little over £1100 if you do some serious shopping and haggling, so the dealer will be buying new guns direct from the supplier at a fair bit less than that so they can make a margin on it, if he make 30%GP he's buying new at around £800 so to trade in you will need to be less than that , i guess around 600 depending on barrel length, multi choke or not and general condition etc, the 425 is a good gun and one that is sought after so push for about 700 but it depends on the value of the new gun, stick it on here for sale i bet it will go fairly quickly then you can do a straight purchase which gives you a distinct advantage, all the best with it
