For sale my beretta 303 12g 28” fixed choke barrel at half , this is a 3” magnum barrel, has 302 woodwork which is really nice condition with a lop of 15” not hp steel proof but fine with std steel , make ideal hide gun, 3 shot with sling swivels , collection only near Diss south Norfolk only selling as have too many of them and just bought a gold mallard 390 so it’s a case of one in one out, £200 or will swap for 28g clay carts of same value (decent ones)

I’ve just bought a s/h summit ascent (same action as you know ) it’s a 2018 in as totally as new condition , 30” feels best for me , picked up a 32 but was a little too slow swinging for me , love shooting head up position with the raised rib and semi Monte Carlo , feels really good quality , I will concur light trigger pulls but probably to used to old berettas , the Caesar is certainly crisper trigger,

Sold now thanks

May swap px up or down 325 or ultra xs , must be 30” and in similar condition ,

Superb condition Beretta 682 Gold 12g, 30 3/4” barrels , 3” chamber , everything it came with from new in 1996, cases, spare trigger blade and foresight beads, barrel stickers , sew on badge and full set of Mobil chokes, not HP steel proof but fine for std steel , collection from south Norfolk near Diss IP22 , £1400, probably the best one in the country

Surely steel shot proof is the pressure exerted hence the higher rating and nothing to do with whether it will score the barrel

My right eye prescription is pretty strong and took the plunge to get a set of pilla x6 with prescription insert , couldn’t get the insert right as it was too convex and tilted back , optician is a main dealer in pilla and tried everything (I also wear bifocal) we ditched the bifocal but still not right , so went single vision zeiss shooting frames , problem is on these size frames that the upper part of the lens is very think and really heavy , I put up with it but am planning a high rib gun for a head up position so I can see more through the middle of the lens as opposed to the top 10mm, tried varifocals a while back and scores fell through the floor so went to bifocal and scores returned to normal

A chap on this forum is/was selling a 1985/6 beretta 686 that he had sent off to be proofed (via teague I think) it passed HP steel proofing and has had the Fleur Di Lys stamp on it , proof to us using older guns that most are suitable for using steel , I’ve got 2 x beretta 682 Gold ‘s (not E) that are 3” chamber and I would have no qualms about putting steel through it , it’s the newest gun I own at 1996

What shop is that please ?

Are Beretta Gold E sporters steel proof
sishyplops replied to sishyplops's topic in Guns & Equipment
Thank you for everyone’s input , I have a 682 gold and was hoping to kill two birds by fitting gold e barrels thus reducing weight and have an hp proof gun in the bargain , I’ve only got older guns anyway think the 682 is 1996 and 4 beretta 303’s from late 80’s so I’m not overly fussed about the steel element but just thought I’d ask -
Hi all as title can anyone confirm that the beretta Gold E is high performance steel proof and for dy lys stamped ? I know std steel is ok but want to know about. HP many thanks
