    Baldness

Hi, over the last month or so my hair has been falling out at a really high rate, only from around the temples and the front of my head, the corners have moved back about an inch or so over the last month alone. Im really struggling to cope with this, i've been suffering from depression for about a year with the past six months being particularly bad so this really isnt helping. Is there anything i can do? people have said shave it off but i look ridiculous with a shaved head and it really isnt an option. at the rate its going i'll be totaly bald within a year or so :( Thanks, Sam
  4. been back together for a few months now http://www.blink182.com/ ss12
  5. I've got one Saturday and Sunday combined ticket for T in the park this weekend (11th and 12th) I'm looking for what i paid which is £146.50. I know this is a bit short notice but I'm just outside of balado so it can be picked up on the way. If anyone would like any more info just let me know. thanks, ss12
  6. no it's not illegal, if you have permission there is nothing stopping you and an airgun is more than capable, but game birds would be head shots only and this would be tricky due to there heads bobbing about all the time. pheasants and the likes are not very bright when on the ground so shooting them there is considered unsporting. ss12
  7. Thanks for all the comments guys.... I like the shooting times suggestion sandersj, I'll do that. What I haven't said... is at the time we went shooting he was a very fit lad played lots of sports etc. a month ago he ended up in hospital with severe arthritis and is now unable to play any of his rugby, football, swimming etc. His knees went up like footballs and he was having a drain one side of each knee and antibiotics/steroids the other side of each knee. He can walk/hobble again now but each morning he is as stiff as a board and has to hobble about to get to school. Some days he cannot even walk to school and needs a lift. It takes most of the day to get to bend his legs a bit. We don't know how this will pan-out just yet. It is staggering how a lad seemingly at the epitome of good health can go downhill so quickly. I rang him yesterday and told him your comments which he was amaized at and loved the shooting times/BASC idea. It was a good boost to his feeling of wellbeing. It really cheersed him up, thanks. Addition later on ..... forgot to mention ... he lives in Wales ... so thanks Ice. cheers Malk I feel sorry for your nephew, I've had arthritis for 2 years since i was 12 and have had to give up most of my sports except shooting and fishing (no way i'm givng them up). I'm acctually off school today because i could'nt walk this morning so i can relate to what its like. It does get better with time as doctors work out what drugs work best for you, unfortunatly theres still bad days but thats just the way it is, also encourage him to get back to the swimming pool it's fantastic for building leg muscles which will help alot with the pain in his knees. I hope your nephew gets better and his arthritis disapperes. ss12
  8. Quite right at the end of the day if you don't have an FAC you should not change the power, you will be breaking the law regardless and will be punished. ss12
  9. I'm still at school at the moment, so i don't have any ability to amend the firearms act, this is what i was told by basc at the scottish game fair last year when i asked about airgun laws after being given many conflicting opinions. I was told when an airgun is able to produce a power of over 12ftlb with any pellet it becomes a section 1 firearm which means it must be held on FAC, if a section 1,2 firearm are held without a licence then the said guns become prohibited weapons because they are not held on ticket and come under section 5 in the eyes of the law ss12
  10. airgun above 12ftlb= section 1 firearm, section 1 firearm without an FAC becomes a section 5 firearm, the sentance for possessing a section 5 firearm is 5 years inside. ss12
  11. my opinion is that airguns do not need to be licenced, if the current laws were enforced as they should be then crimes comitted wtih them would drop dramticaly. i personaly would not have a problem getting a licence, i am a member of a club and have lots of permissions but what about people who would not qualify, i doubt that the old man down the road would be granted a licence to plink tin cans in his garden. Also think of the amount of people who would not become involved in shooting if it was not for airguns, i can bet that most of the members of this forum started with airguns and i can bet there would be a lot of people who would decide it was too much bother and not bother taking up the sport if a licence was required. If a licence was introduced do you honestly think that the type of people who take pot shots at cats, people etc would bother to get a licence, no they would'nt what they do is already ilegal they are already ignoring the law, what makes people think another one would stop them. The last point i would like to make is that we already have too many restrictions on shooting sports any one who advocates licencing is in my opinion contributing to the demise of our sport. ss12

cool, i'm still not sure of the price £15 is a rough estimate including postage (probably will be lower though) ss12
  13. Hi, I was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in buying a set of digital callipers as I may be able to get my hands on a batch of them in a couple of weeks. Not sure on price yet possibly about £15. Please let me know if your interested either on here or by pm. (mods if this is against the rules please let me know and remove the thread) thanks, ss12
  14. i've got a rapid mk2 and it simply outclasses anything else i've used including the s400 not to mention the rapid has a larger shot count, is a multishot and the new versions have a fantastic triggers. ss12
  15. you can't buy them at all now, you could only get on on fac if you had one at the time of the ban. ss12
