  1. Hey! You could round pigeons up with it and drive them over to shoot!! :-)
  2. The pigeon is bigger than the rabbit!!!!!...still, you'll get a sandwich out of it!! Well done mate.

  6. Roost shooting last night with my lad who shot this light phased woodie, i've seen pictures of these in various mags over the years but never seen one in the feather. We picked up a dozen, it was very mild and no wind, and i shot like a blind man on a galloping horse!! ATB...Kev

  9. Me and my lad picked up 36 last saturday from 2 oclock till 4 oclock when we ran out of cartridges, we shot just over 100 cartridges between us, we had at least another 5 birds down as after 3 days beating in a row, i'd left my cocker at home so couldn't pick them all. It was the best roosting i've had. Whats the chance of them coming in as hard t.moro!!!! Straight shooting Lads+Lasses..Kev
  10. Yes its on the way to Stamford, We are right on the Wolds plenty of pigeons around if you can find them and pin em down. Stopped shooting just after 4 o'clock as I ran out of shells, took 2 boxes plus about 15 steel shot, (i fly a peregrine and feed her the steel shot ones) and shot 19, started shooting like a 'blind man on a galloping horse'! before getting onto them, they where still coming in when we left, will be putting spare shells in car next outing! ATB..Kev
  11. " A BAD DAYS SHOOTING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAY AT WORK"!!!
  12. Hi TJ, I have a shoot at Scrayingham and beat at Burythorpe and Howsham, we,ve been roosting at Burythorpe this aft...Kev
  13. What day does your county go roost shooting?? Back in the eighties and early nineties roost shooting was always on a Friday afternoon, i used to finish work early and head straight for the woods along with every one else in North Yorkshire. In 1991 i changed jobs and moved down to Wiltshire for 12 years where they all went roosting on a Saturday afternoon, then ten years ago i moved back up to Malton North Yorkshire where it seems that most people have changed to saturdays. There seems to be enough out on saturdays to fulfill the esence of keeping them all moving so every one gets some shooting. PS me and my son have been out this afternoon where we picked up 36 between us. I decided to leave my cocker at home for a rest as she,d just done three beaters days in a row, bad decision! as we lost at least another 5 between us. Good shooting everyone....Kev
  14. Nice looking dog...It'll grow into them ears one day!! Kev
