  1. Where in my original post did I ask people if they would shoot the dog ?? I asked if I would be in trouble if I shot the dog !! You really should take the time to read things and not jump to conclusions.
  2. How is the scenario so unlikely ? A man has just been jailed for his two pit bulls doing just what I described! Imagine sitting back and doing nothing then watching them kill a child playing in the street.
  3. If you read my post I said it was going towards other people.
  4. But you could argue that the law allows you to use reasonable force in defence of yourself or others
  5. After hearing about some of the recent dog attacks by so called dangerous dogs it made me wonder if on your way home from say pigeon shooting or clay shooting you witnessed a dog attacking someone and inflicting a serious injury to that person and then moving on towards other members of the public would you be penalised if you shot and killed the dog. Obviousely only if it were safe to shoot the dog ie no people around it
  6. Would agree with pretty much most of what has been said. You could look for courses near you too. I fly a few birds and it's really addictive so be careful lol.
  7. Bought my browning from him can't praise him or the gun enough
  8. I had a 51 plate l200 animal. Absolutely loved it but the head went twice in 13 months so it had to go but I still miss it. Strange that.
  9. Just bought 250 of the plastic wad to try. They are the ones with the blue cases paid £37 for 250 at York guns. Shot them today didn't feel a difference in recoil. Seemed ok to me
  10. Picked up my gun from Aaron last night. I got stuck in really bad traffic which turned my 45 minute drive into a 2 1/2 hour drive so I didn't arrive until 5 minutes after the shop should have closed but even then the service was excellent !! Again nothing was too much trouble and we ended up talking until 7.30. I can't recommend Aaron and his shop highly enough he is definitely someone to give a try next time you want anything.
  11. I have shot Brownings and barettas and prefer the browning. This one feels really nice apart from the comb is a touch high. I've had around five lessons and intend trying this gun on my next one but was interested to out find the difference.
  12. Hdav I have just started so probably shoot all sorts till I decide. I must admit the comb feels a touch high but the gunsmith has offered to re shape it to fit it to me
  13. Could someone tell me the difference between a browning 525 sporter and a 525 trap gun please. I have shot the sporter but having held a trap version it felt better could I use a trap gun for all different kinds of clays ? Cheers
  14. It was Aaron who spent a lot of time with me. Like u said top bloke. Yeah I got the feeling the lady was in charge lol. I felt like a kid in a candy store in there. Would recommend them to anyone.
  15. Hi moocher I have a turkey vulture in my freezer how much would it cost to mount it ( not in a rude way before anyone starts )
  16. Called in yesterday for a look at some guns. Was a bit apprehensive being a newbie but must say nothing was too much trouble and within two minutes of entering shop I was being spoilt for choice. Was given good advice and am now looking forward to picking up my rather nice Grade 3 Browning 525 just as soon as my license arrives in post
