  1. My latest renewal With Devon and Cornwall took 2 months, considering 2 renewals back it took less than a week.
  2. I had a Sprocker (see avatar) the best dog I have ever had, would put a Lab to shame for retrieving, sit in a hide, fetch a Canada, and beat allday long.(not at the same time ) I've had a Spaniel since, and this one is nowhere near as laid back as Bruce, I feel now might be the time for a Retriever, (I'm a couple of months older than when I had Bruce, (not saying how many months  ) If you get a good Spaniel they are brilliant, As has been said work out what you do the most of, a Lab will hunt well, my mate has one that thinks its a Spaniel.

Optima, like Bismuth they have improved, personally I've not had any problems with it. If it wasn't for the price I would use it for everything

I use it for Geese, absolutely love it (except the price) just use open chokes as it patterns tighter, I have 36g 3s ( the original ones)and 26g 4s, I have dropped Geese with both.

I've got some of these http://txfowlers.com/5845FFU_FLAMBEAU_FOAM_CANADA_GOOSE_DECOY.asp had them for 10 or 12 years, think they're very good, especially if you have a long walk to your hunting spot. Normally take a dozen with me. very light around 2lbs, but bulky Or a dozen Last Look decoys (no longer available) which stack into each other and weigh about 2lbs and go in the top of the decoy bag on top of the duck decoys Brian
