So I will move the magnet closer to the hide. I would like to have the wind at my back but the road is a factor so that's why I have been in these two positions, the pattern for the decoys does change but the basic shape is correct?? The birds do come in but it was the magnet position I was really unsure of. There are no footpaths across the field but I can see the line in position two does look like one but on this scale the line is a good 200m from the trees. Thanks for that advise, I do find that i am in those two positions when in this field because the wind always seems to be coming from the road so back to the road is a no no unless i setup in the middle.

Batteries wont work as they are expensive, non eco friendly and have a short life span. They would cost you more than 10k to implement and run.

Until it goes dark maybe but the average household uses 4 to 5kwh per year so on a dull winters day you may struggle to boil a kettle while you watch the tv. And each panel would cost about 1200 installed so I would pay the 10k.

Round our way its all still standing, had a look today and its all falling out of the pods with the lightest of touches. When I checked tonight there were over 200 on the field in one corner. I would get shooting but I don't want to damage the crop fetching shot birds so just a waiting game until the weather changes next week.

Its a shame really that I cant use my son for this, the problem is he is only three and I can see some issues, 1) he's three and his little feeble body cant carry much before it would buckle under the weight and 2) he wouldn't stop asking why to everything and scare the pigeons. Will have to lug me own **** then and wait until he is older.
