  1. i use 2 different company's ,one year i use one of them and when the renewal comes and its gone up i then go back to the other one and they then better the quote ,then i do the same the following year back to the old one ,i tried go compare ,com but none of them would insure me as i have none standard alloys and one company said because i got a roof rack it is an add on !! one company said if i got blacked out windows it would be cheaper as no one can see inside and the other company said it would be dearer as people will want to pinch it because it look good ????

  2. that why when we seen a huge pike ,must of been well into its 20lbs ,just sat at the margin of a reed bed ,we put plugs and spinners right over its nose and right past its eyes ,it just backed up and went into the deep and didn't want to know ,the 19.5lb i caught was on a black flying condom salmon spinner ,there was no fight ,it was like reeling in a wet sack ,but m8 when we got it into the boat to get the spinner out it was not happy ,is it right that any pike over 12lb is female ?

  3. Just out of interest my lop on my gun is 17 it fits my forearm well when laided in the crook of my arm , when mounted there is a two and a half finger gap from my thumb knuckle to my nose :good:

ask the clay shooters they seem to know it all ***** at them ,but if you were asking me i would say try it on a pattern board
  4. Gun up or down makes no difference if you can shoot.

If you cannot, then stick to what you are happy with.

Some clay disciplines would have you at a distinct disadvantage if you were gun up, like Olympic trap or double trap for instance.

Pigeon Pete are you really old enough to possess a gun licence or is your experience gained from going with mother?

keep mother out of this she has passed ,*****

ent it good ,all you can do is insult people and you call us children lol

  5. I remember seeing a flock of some birds quite a while ago, back in early August I think, that someone said were Fieldfares. If October is the norm, I'm having my doubts.

yes i seen some as well ,i said to my m8 why are they here ?? this was a good month ago
  6. Thats the point sunshine, you wont keep your head on the stock when shooting (at a moving target, not pointing your lazer at a wall) you will naturally lift your head leading to a miss high. Right idea with a comb raiser but for the wrong reasons.

Not so thick that it has prevented me achieving more in one month with a shotgun than you will do in a lifetime. Enjoy your thick fleeces, I'm off to bed!

    Love you x

using a lazer is the same as using a pattern board ,i don't use it for moving targets its to see if the gun fits ,well you trap shooters dont stand or sit in a hide for hours on end in sub zero temps in your browning jackets do you ,;-)

    love you more sunshine

    sweet dreams xxx

  7. nice one m8 ,i started spearfishing last year and i wanted to go snorkeling in the river or lakes ,but ive pulled out a 19.5lbs out with rod and line and havent had the bottle to go in as there's been some 30lbs+ coming out ,,,,, disclaimer you cant spearfish in fresh water ,,,,,,,i was only going to go training for holding my breath ,,,,

  8. right then children i will only say this once,if we go back to the beginning of this post ,the chap is asking about his LOP i told him how to measure it ,cant help it if you lot don't understand ,this is a rough quick way of how to do it

    mad man from mars lol

  9. When you increase lop the muzzles don't lower- you see less of the rib due to the now increased drop on your comb which more often than not causes head lifting to see the target and a resulting miss over the top.

Fresh out the Dennis taylor 3 easy steps to checking your lop without going in off the black. New balls please.

if you increase the the LOP and your cheek is still on the comb you then shoot low ,if you are having to lift your head your comb is wrong ,this why i said i had to put a cheek riser on in winter because my LOP has got longer !!!!!????? dont you lot listen or just thick ,
  10. I only shoot sporting and I find it easier to shoot gun down as when I mount I'm pointing the gun where I'm looking instead of gun up and looking where im pointing the gun if you know what I mean?. On the other hand my shooting partner prefers gun up and drops targets shooting gun down so I guess it's whatever works for you. I'm more interested in using clays as practice for game/field shooting rather than becoming a competition clay shooter, as others have said I don't/wouldn't walk about the field with my gun already mounted so what would be the point of practicing that way?.
