I run a medium sized game shoot. on 1200 acres. we get 11 acres of land for game cover. there is a disused railway line and 6, 2-3 acre blocks of woodland. and it works out at £6-7 p/a.

what kind of prices are people getting at the game dealers for pheasant and partridge.

don't rush with the straw. like you say they will keep busy with the undergrowth so keep an eye on them and do the straw when they start looking around.

this is such a common problem with small syndicate guns not knowing how much it takes to put on any size shoot day. I suggest they shoot on other shoots to see how cheap your shoot is, and get the tight **** to tip. u deserve it. regards sam

hi there, have you done a fair bit a ferreting before? It might be a bit late this year due to the rabbits having young. what do you think. ive not done that much ferreting before. the estate im on is not over run with rabbits but there is a nice number but it hasnt been ferreted for a long time so may be alot of holes not used. might be worth you pm me with your number for a chat.
